Description

This ski touring Haute Route Corsica traverse goes across the island south to north. This 7-day route is known for its wilderness and technical difficulty. Join me as we discover this legendary hike and share my passion for “beauty island” with you.

This tour is the most pleasant way to complete the famous Corsican Haute Route, in Alta Strada. And this particular route follows variations which give priority to an enjoyable descent.

To begin this program, I will meet you in Ajaccio. After that, the adventure begins! Some of the highlights of this program include:

  • The ascent of Monte Renoso (2,357 m) – the highest peak in southern Corsica

  • A traverse to Punta di l’Oriente (2,112 m) to appreciate the spectacular view of the coast to the east and the west

  • Beautiful beech forests

  • A sealskins progression in the Agnone valley, at the foot of the majestic Monte d’Oro

  • Reaching the Bocca á e Porte (2,225 m) with the use of crampons

  • Crossing the Camputile plateau before our ascent of Punta Artica (2,327 m)

Have a look at the detailed day-by-day itinerary below.

This program includes some technical section which require storing the skies in the bag, and the use of crampons. To go on this guided trip, guests need to be autonomous mountaineers, have a good physical condition, a taste for effort, and ability to be at ease in uncomfortable situations.

Mountain Guide

Certified mountain guide UIAGM / IFMGA
I work with Manu, a good friend of mine...
We are both rock climbing instructors and certified mountain leaders. I shared with Manu happy and doubtful moments, building a professional future with a passionate focus on the mountain and the guide role. An open vision over the world, where our competences, knowledge and curiosity are at our client’s service for one day or for life.
The agency we founded together is the natural outcome of our profound complicity. People think we are cousins or brothers. We are just friends, and lucky to be so, because our children are in love: as in love as you can be at 8 years old!
We are both lucky to live in Corsica, this unknown mountain where climbers, mountaineers and skiers still feel like pioneers. This mountain is our playground and our office.
Curious and open to the world, we also organize each year trips to faraway places to see what other mountains and people can give to us, and what we can learn from them.
Ice in the Equator and Patagonia, Spanish, Jordanian or American rocks, snow in the Carpathians, Norway ot the Caucasus. We love the mountain in all its forms and every time we reach a summit we want to climb the neighbouring summit and find what is hiding behind it.

IMPORTANT COMMENT: the trip couldn't be made due to the weather. But both Cedric as the backoffice team has been extremely helpful in finding an alternative and solution. Finally we didn't go because of illness of 2 of the group. But definitely I will look for another trip next year.

My 1 day of glorious granite sport multi pitching with Cedric! The only route (??) to start from the sea was a great adventure with some exposed pitched of enjoyable climbing. Cedric was great: full of energy and enthusiasm and really motivating. Obviously extremely professional and handing out advice both with climbing technique and rope / safety.

I had a fantastic time climbing in col Bavella area. Cedric is an amazing guide, extremely professional, attentive, patient and very easy to work with. He is a natural instructor/teacher. I highly recommend Cedric as climbing guide. Col Bavella is a faboulouse place with multitude of climbing routes of all kinds and grades. The granite rock is very good, firm, with good traction. The views are really stunning.
