Description

One of the most famous walls in the Aosta region, Il Paretone's great quality rock is highly popular among climbers in northern Italy.

Although it sometimes gets too hot during the peak of summer, it's a great option for the spring and autumns months, when it's still cold in other spots in the Alps.

Il Paretone offers several routes of different levels, though all of them are quite long and require a half day or more. You need some solid rock climbing experience to climb here as most routes go from 5c to 7a, with 6a as an average.

I'll choose the right route for you depending on what your wishes are for our day together. I'm a local aspirant guide, born and bred in the Aosta region, so I know all the routes on Il Paretone!

We can also turn this day trip to Il Paretone into a multi-day program. There are dozens of routes available so believe me when I tell you you won't get bored. In fact, it's a great option to take good advantage of the great conditions here.

Sounds like fun? Contact me now and we'll start planning our rock climbing day at Il Paretone in the Aosta Valley. You can also check out my rock climbing day trip to Pilastro di Lomasti, another great option in this area.

Mountain Guide

Born in Aosta in 1970, I am an aspirant mountain guide and a passionate climber. For me, the lightning strike came in while climbing Punta Tzan with some friends: from that day on, my whole life has been the mountains and practicing mountain sports and activities.
Among my most significant ascents are: Mattehorn, Mont Blanc du Tacul, Aiguille Verte, Monviso and Mont Maudit, among others. I will be happy to guide you around my home region!

Everything was perfect. We had to bring forward the trip due to weather conditions and Remy was very flexible. He made us feel comfortable along the climb and everything went very easily although it was only our second 4000 ascension. He's a very nice and pleasant person. I highly recommend him!

Remy was a superb guide, would really recommend him! Warm and friendly personality. Very professional and knowledgeable, made us (beginners) feel comfortable during the trip. We had a lot of questions beforehand, all communication was clear, fast responses and Remy was always available by mail or phone. Also fast response by Explore-Share. The Gran Paradiso was amazing, especially the views, climb tough but very doable. Next time I would go skiing down instead of hiking.
