Join me on a 1-day trip in the most impressive mountain above Logarska valley: Ojstrica.

With a big north face and exposed ridges in east-west direction, Ojstrica is one of the most desired peaks in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps.

I invite you to experience its breathtaking views by climbing Kopinškova route. This is a classic Slovenian mountain wire secured route, similar to via ferratas in Italy.

We'll start the climb in Logarska valley and hike for 45 min towards Koča na Klemenči jami, where we'll have a short break and maybe a cup of coffee or warm tee.

After one and a half hour, we'll arrive to the start of our via ferrata. So we'll put on all the necessary equipment to climb safely and begin! With magnificent views all a long the way, we'll reach the top of the 2350 m high peak of Ojstrica.

Once at the top, we'll enjoy the incredible summit views and also have our lunch break.

Then, we'll descend on the south side and after short uphill we'll again turn towards Logarska valley. We'll reach the valley bottom after 2 hours.

Meeting point

Transport (pick-up and drop off) can all so be arranged in different places along Savinjska valley from different villages and towns – Velenje, Mozirje, Nazarje, Ljubno, Luče, Solčava, Camping Menina or any other hostel, pension or camping on the way.

Mountain Guide

My name is Peter Jeromel. I could say that mountains are my life.

They are my office with a view and my playground for my free time. I go there with my friends, my clients, my family, my dog or just by myself to clear my mind.

I climb, ski, bike, hike, meditate, explore, share and fill my batteries in the nature.

With my clients I do what Explore-share is all about: I try to give them great experiences in the mountains, while exploring mountain environment and themselves, sharing my knowledge and positive energy to put big smiles on clients' faces at the end of our trips.

I try to bring second biggest mountain range Kamnik-Savinja Alps closer to my clients. This is beautiful, not so well known range where you could do pretty much everything, from ice climbing, alpine climbing and classic mountaineering in the winter to ski touring in spring, sport climbing and rock climbing in the summer or just do nice easy hiking through pristine nature combined with local traditional food and accommodation, all that while avoiding crowds from more touristic areas.

I am certified IFMGA mountain guide, Instructor for Slovenian mountain guide association, sport climbing and alpine climbing instructor, avid mountain biker and in my spare time karate practitioner.

I speak fluent English, Slovenian, Croatian and understand also German and Spanish.
