Would you like to try a **different and exciting winter sport**? Then come to Campo Imperatore, Italy, and **learn the basics of snowkiting** under expert guidance!

**Campo Imperatore is an alpine meadow located in the Gran Sasso massif**, in the Italian region of Abruzzo. Known as the “Little Tibet”, it lies next to the Apennines’ highest peak, Corno Grande, and Europe’s southernmost glacier, the Calderone. 

**The goal of my 1-day course is to teach you basic snowkiting skills.** Campo Imperatore, with an area of 80km², no trees, and surrounded by huge peaks, is a perfect spot to try this amazing sport.

During the activity, that includes an hour of theory and at least three hours of practice, you will learn the following techniques: **wind and kite notions, equipment usage, safety skills, takeoff and landing, and flight exercises.**

We will use the most modern and safe gear, which adapts to different weather conditions. To participate, **you need to know how to ski or snowboard, but not necessarily at an expert level**.

**Looking for a less-traveled ski destination in Italy?** Join me on this **3 day ski tour in the charming mountainside of Gran Sasso!**

The **Gran** **Sasso d’ Italia** is a massif in the Apennines, located in the **Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park**, in the region of **Abruzzo.** The area is a relatively **well-kept secret** so you will enjoy the charm of skiing in a secluded area.

We will begin our **3-day excursion** leaving **Bolzano** and going over to **Campo Imperatore**, which is a beautiful alpine meadow close by. Then, over the following days we will get to explore the **Corno Grande (2,912 m)** and the **Monte Camicia (2564** m), walking over high points of ascension in order to reach these summits.

This trip is only offered to **3-6 participants** at a time, making it small and manageable. More still, you will get to unwind at a lovely **hotel** after the end of each jam-packed day.

Go to **Bolzano** and we will stay overnight at **Campo Imeratore**

Bolzano

 We will go from **Fonte Vetica (1600m approx.)** through a glade in the **Jungwald direction** of the recognizable **Rinne di Vradda.** There are **two options**: Either you stay low and climb directly into the initially rather narrow channel, or you can cross a bit higher, but then have to pass steep slopes. This climb is only possible in **safe snow conditions.**

Corno Grande (2,912 m)

We will drive to **Fonte Vetica (about 1600 m)**. From there we will climb over the **Valle Vradda** to the summit. The descent is either via the west flank or via the ascent route, about **1000 m.**

Monte Camicia (2564 m)
