More Info on Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a former Yugoslav Republic that gained its independence after a bloody and acrimonious civil war. Evidence of the war may be seen everywhere you go in the country, but the spirit and resilience of its people are as strong as ever.

From the massive mountains towering over Sarajevo to the rugged shoreline of the Adriatic Sea, Bosnia and Herzegovina is an outdoor adventurer’s paradise waiting to be discovered. You could spend years exploring every corner of this small but diverse country. However, two weeks in more realistic and still an adequate amount of time to discover some of what this beautiful place has to offer.

If you have the time, head down to Mostar, the capital of Herzegovina. Located in a little valley, the city offers great insight into the country’s complex history as well as close proximity to Blidinje Nature Park and Mt Čvrsnica.
