What’s the weather like?

Canada is a vast country, with a diverse climate. Therefore, conditions vary a lot, depending on location and season. While parts of coastal British Columbia have mild winters and warm summers, the interior is cold and snowy in winter. Much of Northern Canada is covered in snow and ice for almost half of the year.

Getting There:

Airlines from all over the world fly to Canada’s main cities (Toronto, Vancouver, Quebec, etc). Whistler is located just 2 hours away by road from Vancouver International Airport, along the scenic Highway 99, also known as the Sea to Sky Highway. Squamish is just an hour away from Vancouver and Whistler. The easiest way to reach Banff is by flying to Calgary, the nearest airport.

English - French (it is an official language only in Quebec).

Best time to visit:

If you are looking for the best skiing and snowboarding conditions, you should come from December till March. The rock climbing season usually starts in early spring to late fall. You will find the best conditions for climbing and hiking from June through August. Mountaineers can climb all year round under different conditions.

Jeff was so kind to the kids, he encouraged and motivated our 12 y/o eldest, and was tolerant and patient with our 9 y/o young one. Extremely recommended for families. We had much fun on the Banff cliffs.
