The weather is warm and rainy, with some slightly differing features depending on the location. The Adriatic coast and the associated hinterland, where you would find Paklenica, is warmer and more comfortable than other places in the country.
As one of the crossroads and entrances into Eastern Europe, Croatia has a few options to get there. You can fly into the interior via Zagreb, the capital. Dubrovnik and Split are popular coastal destinations, with seamless access to the regional geography just inside the Mediterranean coast. Trains make travel possible, connecting smaller cities and towns, such as Zadar for reaching Paklenica. Croatia also boasts an impressive motorway that connects its regions.
The summer is the perfect time to visit Croatia, with a peak season that tends to be less crowded than other similar European destinations. Come in the spring and fall for the scenery and slightly cooler temperatures.
Located in central Europe and within close proximity to some of the major cities of eastern Europe, Croatia is highly sought-after destination. It has a long coastline stretching along the Adriatic Sea and shares a border with Hungary, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. It is well-known for its islands and Mediterranean Coast and constantly ranks as a top tourist destination. Its natural beauty is gaining momentum as a driving force for increased tourism, as well.
Luka was wonderful, he was able to adapt to our skill level and we had a great time despite the Bura winds!
Experienced, friendly and engaging. Danijela helped both of us improve our technique, selected routes that were challenging but at the right level for each of us. We had a really brilliant day. Highly recommended.
Our guides Danijela and Ferdo were fantastic! We learned a lot of great tips from them on climbing technique. They always kept safety first and were a lot of fun. We couldn’t have asked for better guides and would highly recommend them to anyone. Climbing in the park was awesome.
We only have really glowing things to say about the trip and our guides. They were a lot of fun, and extremely knowledgeable. They adjusted the plan as we went to pick routes we’d like the best and had great feedback on continuing improvement.
Paklencia is a beautiful area to climb and Danijela was very knowledgeable and fun to climb with. I would definitely come back again!
Excellent climbing session with friendly, experienced guides who were enthusiastic and encouraging. Paklenica national park is beautiful and well worth a visit. We will be back!
Danijela was an amazing instructor and her passion for the sport was obvious. This was a great introduction to rock climbing.
We had such an incredible time – the guides were fantastic. The setting was perfect and we learnt loads. It was such a good decision to go with guides so knowledgeable, we felt like real locals by the end! We also had such a laugh with them and are actually planning to go back and hire them as guides again in the future.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 🙂
Had a fantastic time on this trip. Great guides who really focused on what I wanted to get out of the day and were super safety conscious. Would absolutely recommend and will probably return to do more climbing with Danijela and her team.
The trip was GREAT! Luka was Super!!
We thought this was the best possible start to our climbing career. Our two climbing instructors, Danijela and Ferdo, were clearly very experienced climbers and fun, enthusiastic, and great teachers, while still safe and professional. They spoke excellent English. The equipment was modern and clean and it felt secure. All in all, it was a great experience and a good value for money. I would recommend it to any beginner seeking a safe but fun climbing experience.
Epic trip! Great guides! Incredible place! We will be back.
Danijela and Ferdo were the best guides we have ever had. They were great with our kids, had all the equipment we needed and opened up some great routes for us all. Fully recommend them.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures!
