How long should I stay?

This depends on what you want to do. Many of the best mountaineering spots are all located near Mexico City and each one takes about two days to climb. Some guides offer combined trips that allow you to spend two weeks climbing three or more of the best spots as well as exploring the capital city.

Language:

Spanish

Country Code:

More Info on Mexico

Located in southern North America, Mexico is a large and diverse country, with many different landscapes, climates and cultures. While the majority of the mountaineering is done on the eastern end of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, this is a world away from the tropical beaches of the coasts, arid deserts of the north and ancient pyramids in the southern jungles. Every region has something different to offer. Mexico City is a sprawling metropolis and melting pot for all of the Central American region. Different cuisine, art, music and architecture from all the regions of this diverse country converge here to create a truly unique and lively city. The Mesoamerican pyramids in the state of Pueblo are especially worth a visit, if you have the time.

Mesh was an excellent guide! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Enjoyed the time I spent with him. Highly recommend him and 3Summits

Saioa Ibarrola Barandika for Nevado de Toluca 1-day expedition in Mexico

It was really really hard to get up to the top, but thanks to the Guides and the rented equipment me and my friend made it almost to the sunrise to the top. Oskar and Abraham, the guides, really did a great job. If you want to go, you should know the difference between walking, hiking and climbing and know that the altitude will not help your stamina. I have been to a lot of mountains but the view of Pico de Orizaba Was by far the best. I highly recommend it. Tom

I had a great and unforgettable experience climbing Pico de Orizaba with the 3Summits Adventure Team in a 2 day trip!  Álvaro and Oscar are highly experienced, professional and encouraging guides, they took special care in the preparations and were patient and motivating during this my very first summit!  Excellent communication before and after the trip! Thumbs-up to 3Summits!

Thoroughly recommended. Daniel is an excellent guide and we had a great day out.

We had some missunderstandings at the begining but Daniel and our new guide Alex looked for solutions. The rent of the equipement is a bit expensive. The trip was awesom, such a beautiful view on the top!

Guide and overall climb were great. Would highly recommend it.

It was a awesome Trip with The two guides Alex and Edgar!

Excellent trip, my kids and I had to work for it which made the summit and the end of the hike all the more enjoyable.

Daniel and his partner Alex did a great job guiding us, and helping with all the logistics, especially transportation to and from the climb. Alex was a real pleasure to talk with, learn from, and show us the mountain. Thank you, for a great experience!

I really enjoyed the trip!
I would definitely recommend the trip, although thought the rental of the helmet & hiking poles were a little expensive (500 pesos).

Thanks & all the best,
Ella

Daniel was kind enough to pick me up promptly at the airport when I arrived. we drove straight to amecameca and bought a few supplies, we then drove to Popo park and set up camp. Daniel gave a class on crampons, walking sticks and the ice pick and then it was time to sleep and prepare for the early morning hike start. we set off around 0330 and reached the recluso at about 15,500 feet. it was an amazing experience with wonderful views. Thank you Daniel, Alejandro and Yasmin!

The service of the guide was excellent. As I climbed also another peaks, can tell, this was one of the best guides. Can only recommend it.
