More Info on Romania

Stretching throughout central and eastern Europe, the Carpathians are the second longest range on the continent. The Făgăraș Mountains are the tallest of these mountains within Romania with the tallest peak, Moldoveanu, reaching 2.544 meters. The majority of the range is located within the Romanian region of Transylvania and is still home to much of Romania’s wildlife such as brown bears. The country is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination, receiving about 10 million per year. The Carpathians are one of the country’s main draws in that regard.
