Ich bin stolz, Sie ins Cochamo-Tal in Chile einzuladen und ein so aufregendes 4-tägiges Big Wall Kletterprogramm anzubieten. Dieses Mal fordere ich Sie heraus, den Cerro Trinidad zu besteigen.

Cerro Trinidad ist ein fantastischer Granitberg, der sich unter dem intensiven Grün des Valdivianischen Waldes hervorhebt. Seine Wände von etwa 1000 Metern sind zu einem der Symbole des Big Wall Kletterns in Patagonien geworden. Als Teil des Cochamo-Tals liegt Cerro Trinidad etwa 4 Stunden von Puerto Montt entfernt.

Viele Kletterer aus der ganzen Welt kommen hierher, um die besten Mehrseillängenrouten wie die "Bienvenido a mi insomnio" oder die "Ez does it" Routen am Cerro Trinidad zu genießen.

"Bienvenido a mi insomnio" (Willkommen zu meiner Schlaflosigkeit auf Englisch) ist eine 900 Meter lange Wand mit etwa 20 Seillängen. Sie kombinieren Risssysteme, die durch Wandseillängen verbunden sind. Tatsächlich ist es eine der längsten komplett freien Routen in Cochamo.

Was die "Ez does it" betrifft, so ist es eine klassische Route und eine der begehrtesten. Sie hat 450 Meter Höhe und 10 Seillängen. Ez does it erfordert einige moderate Kletterfähigkeiten in all seinen Rissen. Darüber hinaus bietet es eine wirklich erstaunliche Felswand, Höhlen, einige Schuppen und einen unglaublichen Gipfel: den Trinidad.

IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide from Chile

I was born in 1990, and I always been surrounded by mountains, with family and friends in the Andes.

I did the first Chilean ascent to Cerro Torre via Ferrari route, four ascents to Mt, Fitz Roy, more than 12 to Torres del Paine and the first alpine traverse of the three towers.

I also climbed in the Himalayas, Yosemite, and other Andean countries such as Argentina, Bolivia and Peru.

I did the IFMGA/UIAGM aspirant course in 2017 in Bolivia, and completed the AIARE level 2 avalanche training.

Our group had a great time skiing with Cristobal. He was everything you would expect a certified mountain guide to be. He was professional and safe, has exceptional mountain awareness and technical capabilities, and has great communication skills. He checked all the boxes for guiding and he made it fun as well. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a guided trip in Chile.

I was matched with Renato Esteban Rodriguez Parra Huaraz (License No. 155-22 w/IFMGA) who took me to Palestras, El Manzano, in Cajon del Maipo. Renato organized a taxi to pick me up and drop me off right at my hotel/airbnb. He was an amazing guide, who helped me push myself when I needed encouragement, gave beta when I felt stuck, and gave tips on how to properly prepare for the day of climbing. (Sunscreen, shoes, food, clothes, and gear). Renato was able to suggest difficult but doable routes based on what I told him for my level of climbing. I felt safe the entire time, I didn’t feel pressured to lead, he gave great recommendations for Santiago and the surrounding area, as knows a good bit about it such as fun things to do, and what areas are safe. His English is very good, there were almost no moments of misunderstanding each other due to a language barrier. In addition to climbing, has a passion for hip hop, and music. He regaled me with quite a few fun stories of living in the Santiago area. I’d say I’ve my one day climbing with him, my Spanish and my climbing improved. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
