Ascenso guiado de un día al Nevado Mateo

El Nevado Mateo, con 5,150 metros de altitud, es probablemente una de las cumbres más fáciles de escalar en la Cordillera Blanca. Además, este ascenso funciona perfectamente como una aclimatación antes de un objetivo mayor.

La cumbre del Nevado Mateo es un ascenso bastante directo, que invita a principiantes y escaladores no técnicos a tener una gran experiencia a gran altitud.

Nuestra aventura de montañismo comienza en Huaraz alrededor de las 3 AM, conduciendo hacia el norte por el Callejón de Huaylas hasta llegar a Carhuaz. Desde allí, tenemos que seguir conduciendo en dirección este hacia el Valle de Ulta. Nuestro transporte nos dejará en el estacionamiento a 4800 metros sobre el nivel del mar.

Y aquí comienza la aventura. Caminaremos por un sendero rocoso hasta llegar al pie del Nevado Mateo. ¡Ahora es momento de escalar! Tenemos que subir la cara norte de esta espectacular pendiente helada hasta la cumbre.

Una vez allí, tendremos una vista inolvidable de las cumbres circundantes de más de 6000 metros. Podremos admirar las montañas de Contraihierbas, Ulta, Hualcan, Huascaran, Chopicalqui y Yanapaccha.

Cascadas congeladas, lagos glaciares azules y prados alpinos son muchas otras bellezas naturales que disfrutaremos desde la cumbre del Nevado Mateo.

Finalmente, tenemos que regresar por la misma ruta que ascendimos hasta estar de nuevo en el estacionamiento. Aquí tomaremos nuestro transporte de vuelta a la ciudad de Huaraz.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
