¿Quieres caminar en la montaña más alta de América? Entonces déjame guiarte a Confluencia, el primer campo base del Aconcagua!
Ubicado en la Provincia de Mendoza, Argentina, Aconcagua (6,960m) es el pico más alto fuera de Asia. Esta montaña es un destino clásico de montañismo, escaladores de todo el mundo intentan alcanzar su cumbre cada año. Tiene una ruta de ascenso fácil, pero se necesita de 18 a 20 días para completarla.
Trekking hacia Confluencia, el primer campo base del Aconcagua, es una opción perfecta para aquellos que no tienen suficiente tiempo para la ruta completa o simplemente prefieren caminatas más cortas. Reuniéndonos en Mendoza, conduciremos hasta el Valle de Horcones, el punto de partida de la ruta, y ¡comenzaremos la aventura!
Esta es una actividad de un día y el sendero es mayormente cuesta arriba pero también fácil. No necesitas experiencia en montañismo, pero debes tener un buen nivel de condición física: es un viaje de ida y vuelta de 20 km a gran altitud. Si el clima es agradable, disfrutaremos vistas impresionantes del Aconcagua y su majestuosa pared sur!

Día 1: Mendoza - Confluencia - Mendoza
Después de encontrarnos a las 7:30 am en Mendoza, conduciremos 190 km (aproximadamente 3 horas) hacia Horcones, el punto de partida de la trek.
La caminata terminará alrededor de las 5:00 pm para regresar a la ciudad de Mendoza.

I was born in Córdoba, Argentina, where I was able to venture into mountaineering more than ten years ago. I took my first steps in the Sierras de Córdoba, and from there, I set out to explore higher mountains.
Five years ago, I achieved my dreams when I came to Mendoza to become a professional mountain guide and earn a living doing what I love. Two years from now, we created our own adventure tourism company in Mendoza.
For the last 3 years, I have been working in a foundation, as an instructor in first aid and rescue in wild areas, training government agencies, guides, etc. I have made Advanced emergency medical technician in Buenos Aires, with real ambulance hours.

Joaquin was an amazing tour guide! He was polite, on time, and gave us an amazing experience. He is not only a great guide but amazing person, we love talking to him and learning about Argentina and consider him a friend. We are so appreciative and this hike was the highlight of our trip.

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone. Joaquin is an excellent guide, and will not only take you to you destination, but also teach you a lot about the geography and history around Aconcagua and the area around. The view of Aconcagua is better by the entrance to the park, but the trip up to Confluencia is worth the trouble if you are staying in Mendoza (or nearby, I travelled from Chile just for this hike). Depending on your fitness level, Joaquin can find a hike that will suit you and give you an experience of the Andes mountains that you wont get anywhere else.

The hike and location were great, but what made it a super experience was Joaquin, our guide. He shared a lot of his knowledge about the nature and the country. He really took his time and let you enjoy all the surroundings have to offer. On top of that we had an amazing lunch (you have to try the carrot mayonaise) with an incredible view. If we ever go back to Argentina we’ll definitely book another day with him. Thanks for making mendoza unforgettable!
