**Calling all hikers to the Paklenica National Park!** Over the course of 2+ days, you will be able to explore the mountainous beauty of Croatia.

The **Paklenica National Park** is located in and around the slopes of the **Velebit Mountain Range,** in southwest Croatia. The park is home to many canyons, 400-meter-high mountains and over 1000 different types of animal and plant species, which is why it is one of the most famous hiking destinations in Europe.

On this 2-4 day trip, you will have a lot of flexibility with your schedule, as you will be able to do different activities based on how much time you allot to this trip. However, no matter what duration you choose, you will definitely get to delight in the 700 meter high mountain walls surrounding us, against the backdrop of plains and dense forest, peppered with unique rare grass. You will also have the opportunity to climb up to the highest peak in the park: **Velebit.** And it is also possible to climb to the second-highest peak in the entire country, Vaganski Vrh, which is located at 1,757 meters.

This trip is leisurely, and possible with 4-7 people at a time. This trip also varies in price given your desired trip duration. I offer this trip for anywhere between 2-4 days, and the rates listed below are for 2 days.

Located about 47km north from Zadar, the Paklenica National Park in  Croatia is a wilderness haven boasting over 79 endemic plant species, amazing canyons and oak, karst hornbeam and black pine forests. Trekking in Paklenica National Park is a wonderful experience and one that you will not easily forget. On this 3-day program, we will get to explore some of its most awe-inspiring spots while also enjoying some easy ferratas and rock climbing.

We will set off on the first day to Veliko Rujno and the path of Bojin hook. There, you will be able to enjoy some light ferratas. You will also have the chance to appreciate the views of the sea. Then, the following day, we will visit Mala Paklenica. Finally, on the third day, we will head to Sveto Brdo, another amazing spot in this stunning park.

Keep in mind that you will need to have a good fitness level to join this program. Additionally, you will also need some rock climbing skills. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you every step of the way!

Climb to Sveto Brdo, a famous point in South Velebit. The trail leads across the Visoravni Dušice and climbs steeply to the top of Sv, Brda 1751 m, which is 6 m lower than the highest peak of Velebit, Vangarski vrh. The most important point of South Velebit. There are no higher peaks.

This **Manita Cave hiking tour** will take you around and under the beautiful **Paklenica National Park**, where you'll find a buried paradise!

While there are many underground formations in **Paklenica National Park**, **Manita Cave** is the only one suited for tourist sightseeing. It is a 175-meter long formation, with two broad chambers full of stalactites, stalagmites and cascades. Moreover, the cave is rich in underground fauna!

I'll meet you at the park's entrance. And we'll start walking towards the top of the **Velika Paklenica Canyon** where the views are amazing! We'll be able to see the vertical cliffs rise 700 meters above both sides of the canyon.

Then we'll go down to the cave, where we'll spend around 30 minutes. During this tour I'll show you many secrets of **this intriguing underground world!**

After the cave tour, we'll hike down to the bottom of the Canyon and walk along the creek to the mountain lodge. Here, you'll be able to have a mountain meal or you can bring your own packed lunch for a picnic.

This **Mystic Velebit hiking tour** is an adventure that will captivate you in many ways!

First of all, I’ll pick you up in **Starigrad** and we’ll drive for an hour along the beautiful seaside road to reach **Karlobag**. This is a cozy and small town located between the **Velebit mountain range and the sea**. So it’s a wonderful blend of crystal clear waters and amazing Croatian mountains!

From **Karlobag** we’ll continue driving up to **Baške Oštarije pass**. And on the way up, we’ll make a short stop at **Kubus**, a monument shaped as a cube and made of rock. With an altitude of 927m, it has an **amazing views over the town of Karlobag, the island of Pag and the entire Velebit Channel.**

Then we’ll continue to the **Middle Velebit area** between Veliki Alan and Baške Oštarije. This area is known for its stratified terrain. Also it is a geological wonder made out of Karst. During our hike, we’ll see beautiful peaks separated by bays.

The **Velebit hike** will take us about 4 hours. We’ll go to the top of the Velebit peak which has a great view of the surroundings. Also we’ll be able to see a deep karst cave on the way up.

#### On this incredibly popular hiking tour, I would like to guide you through the Paklenica national park in Croatia.

The **Paklenica national park** is a sprawling area full of natural beauty and wonder. Full of lush green, canyons and more, it is a great place to spend a day and a great place to escape any stresses you may want to leave behind.

From the park entrance, we will begin our trek that will last **approximately 8 hours** including breaks and lunch at the hut. From forests to ridges, you will get to enjoy fantastic viewpoints of the park. And because we will be hiking at an **altitude of approximately 850 meters**, you will get to admire the **Paklenica national park** from a number of fantastic vantage points.

A couple of great highlights that we will visit during this trip include a **100 year old mountain hut**, where you can enjoy some local food and brandy tasting. And if you're really hungry, you can have some _peka_, which is a delectable barbecue dish. We will also visit an area full of houses built into the rocks called _Sklopina_.

This is a **moderate level trip**. We will be trekking on rocky terrain along with the tourist trail. As a result, participants on this trip should have some **previous hiking experience**. You should also be in **good physical condition**.

Along with the sense of exploration that comes with hiking, **scrambling** adds an even more thrilling aspect to it. During this tour you will get to visit, explore and climb the **Anica Kuk (712m)**. This amazing and famous rock is the largest rock on the **Velebit mountain**. **Velebit mountain plateau** has so many canyons on such a small area that it provides for an unforgettable experience full of fun! Join me on this 3 canyons hiking tour!

This interesting tour will begin with some off-road driving up to the **Velebit mountain plateau**. During this drive, we’ll go visit an old Croatian rural farm, where we’ll get to know the local lifestyle. We’ll also get to see some wild Istrian horses, in danger of extinction.

Once we get off the off-road vehicles, we’ll walk for 5 or 6 hours while we enjoy stunning views over the reef and the highest peaks in the plateau. And after going through two canyons, we’ll go down to **Starigrad-Paklenica** over **Velika Paklenica Canyon**.
