**Mt Amida (also known as 'Amidadake') is 2,805 m peak that belongs to the Yatsugatake mountains. Climbing on the north ridge of this peak is one of the classic routes in this area.**

This 2-day trip is a great **introduction to winter alpine climbing**. For this trip, it's very important that you have a previous mountaineering and rock climbing experience.

We'll take the north ridge to the top of Mt Amida, which is the less demanding of all the 'non-normal routes' on this peak. However, keep in mind that this is a rock alpine climbing itinerary on the face of the peak.

Besides, there's also snow ridge climbing so you'll get the chance to explore different terrains and types of climbing.

The best time to join this trip is between the second week of December and the end of March. It's also possible to go there in April and May, although we won't have a winter condition by that time.
