More Info

This landlocked country is the newest addition to the European continent, gaining independence from Serbia in 2008. It is an affordable and rugged country, perfect for travelers in search of an alternative to the packed slopes of the Alps.

The terrain is quite mixed, with the Sar Mountains and Dinaric Alps as the most popular options for intrepid skiers. The largest resort is at Brezovica, which is only about 80 kilometers away from the capital (Pristina), among a number of other resorts spread across the various ranges.

The only way to enter Kosovo through the air is through Pristina International Airport, but its location to the mountains in the west and south makes it a reasonable and perfect option.
