Hut-to-hut hiking involves walking for several days from one hut or lodge to the next. This type of hiking allows you to cover more ground and see much more of wherever you are visiting than traditional day hikes would. Depending on your itinerary or preferences these hikes might be large loops through an area or have different starting and finishing points. Either way it is important to be physically fit for this activity prior to booking as it often requires several consecutive hours of walking uphill with minimal breaks. Hiring a certified mountain-guide will ensure you travel the most scenic and safest routes in the area of your choice.

Mitja was an amazing Guide,so glad my son and I chose him to do this winter climb. Mitja has so much
knowledge about the climb and his expertise is valuable. We felt safe at all times and Mitja continuously provided encouragement and advice. Would recommend Mitja to anyone looking for a guide
Booking the guide was a simple process. Having a guide on the mountain climb and experiencing the mountains in those
conditions was the highlight of the trip. I would recommend to anyone going to Slovenia. Thanks.
Christian was an amazing guide and made sure everyone was safe and looked after. It was an awesome experience.
Suzanne Foster for Ascent to Lascar Volcano, Chile
We had an amazing time. Our guide gave us many information about the regions flora and fauna. Even though the
sight at the very top wasn’t so good this day, the climb up was vey exciting. Thanks a lot.
I booked the Triglav winter climb and the communication via email was perfect. My tour guide was Luca, who is
definitely recommendable. It was fun and I felt safely all the time. We had good weather conditions and could therefore climb the Triglav within one day. Thanks for this awesome adventure!
So much fun, the highlight of my month in Croatia! I did two days with this company, 1 day rock
climbing and 1 day hiking in Paklenica. Danijela and Ferdo were great guides, they tailored both days according to my experience/skill and what I wanted to see/do. They were really great company and provided lots of information about Paklenica national park and taught me about Croatian culture and history. During the rock climbing they provided advice on how to improve my technique. Danijela maintained great contact in the few days leading up to the activities (in case the weather turned bad and we would be unable to proceed or have to change routes). Additionally they helped organise lunch at one of the mountain huts during – I didn’t even know this was an option and would have no idea how to do this without their help. The experience itself was heaps of fun, the hike had great views and the rock climbing I was able to push myself in an outdoor terrain, a step up from indoor rock climbing. As a solo traveller it was good to know that I was with two skilled professionals incase something happened during the hike/climb. Overall a fantastic experience, I will definitely go back if I return to Croatia.
This is our second time with Nikolay and it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend!!
Jonas Obermaier for Mount Triglav guided winter climb
Nikolay Pavlov is an experienced guide with intimate knowledge of the terrain and conditions in Bansko. A great half day
trip with two summits on a very short notice. Additionally good company to ride with.
Thoroughly enjoyed this tour, met with all my expectations and beyond. Our Guide was excellent and provided an excellent
experience. The hut was great and the staff there so helpful. The ascent of Triglav itself is a beautiful Alpine tour and a very interesting route and we were further blessed with excellent conditions on summit morning which made it even more memorable. I can highly recommend this tour to any developing Alpinist.
Andy Wheatstone for Mount Triglav guided winter climb
Mitja, Marko and luka were on their game and adapted to a varied group. I feel they delivered excellent value
for money and wouldn’t hesitate to book their services again in the julian alps or dolomites. Ben Hooper- Australia.
Benjamin Hooper for Mount Triglav guided winter climb
A really excellent service provided by Mitja, who sourced the fantastic mountain guide Peter Jeromel. Both provided superb advice
and we were able to create a challenging but achievable climb of Triglav in winter conditions.
Kevin Holligan for Climbing Mount Triglav (2864m)
Nikolay is an awesome guide who is clearly very experienced. We planned to climb+ride Todorka in late January but due
to snow storms and high winds we had to postpone the trip. However as soon as the conditions had improved and the avalanche risk was manageable Nikolay called me to say its game on for tomorrow if that works for me. We had an awesome day riding and I learnt so much from Nikolay about Avalanches, exposure and climbing. Would definitely recommend! Cheers!
I loved this trip! We had spectacular views of the moutains! The weather didn’t permit us to hike Triglav. We
got to see 4-5 other peaks with snowshoes. Talk about breathtaking! Mitja was wonderful guide. He was on time, funny stories, and you can tell he loves what he does, which hands down makes the trip that much wonderful! Highly reccomemnd him! I will be back to do Triglav!
Staphanie Peacock for Climbing Mount Triglav (2864m)
Truly excellent guide, with unique knowledge of backcountry spots for freeride and touring. Extremely nice guy too.
Great for experienced backcountry ski/board tourers. Daisuke looked after us very well. We experienced some of the local culture
going to onsens and restaurants after a hard day on the snow. The yakitori stand at the end of the first day was a real treat.
Well planned and brilliant communication before had, Mitja would reply to emails quickly and would answer any questions that we
had. The walk was fantastic, deffinatly a challenge. Highly recommended.
