The **Pyrenees** is a large mountain range that acts as a border between **Spain** and **France**. However, unlike many borders between many countries, this collection of peaks forms arguably one of the most beautiful natural borders in the world.

This **7 day adventure** will take place in the **Aigues Tortes national park**, which is located in the heart of the **Pyrenees**. There is an abundance of memorable highlights within the park, including the **Estany Llong lake**, and countless climbing opportunities on peaks that include the **Gran Diedro**, the **Punta Solitud**, the **Agulla de Dellui**, along with many more. **Peñon de Ifach** is a huge calcareous rock, standing around the **Mediterranean Sea.** It's in the city of **Calpe**, in the **North of Alicante, Spain.** 

In fact, this stunning rock is part of the smallest natural park in Europe.

Climbing the **Peñon de Ifach** is a special experience because it is not very common to hike in these rocky walls with such a beautiful view of the sea.

After reaching its summit, we will descend through a beautiful trail that will take us back to Calpe.

There are many reasons for visiting **Peñon de Ifach:** wonderful surroundings, comfort and great meals. Besides, there are interesting mountain activities nearby.

##### Located in the magical Picos de Europa in the Cantabrian mountains, the Pena Vieja (2,617m) is a spectacular peak.

It’s location makes for some of the most breathtaking views you will ever get from its summit. And the reason for that is you will feel like you can see into forever, as you gaze far out into the endless ocean stretching beyond the **Spanish shore**.

The climb to the top of the **Pena Vieja** will last **one day**. Hence making it the perfect addition to any vacation you may be taking to the **Spanish province** of **Cantabria**. Also, in the area near the mountain and the rest of the _Picos de Europa_, there is a great deal of wonderful restaurants and comfortable accommodation options you can choose from.

For the ascent, participants should be in **good physical condition**. And while you do not have to be a climbing expert to enjoy this trip, you should have **some previous mountaineering experience**.

We will be scaling **approximately 1000 metres** throughout the day.  As a result, you will get to see exactly why sailors who after months at sea marvelled at the sight of the _Picos de Europa_, where the **Pena Vieja** stood and continues to stand tall and proud.

#### The Naranjo de Bulnes (2,519) is a peak that demands your attention as soon as you see it.

Just one look at the magnificent **Naranjo de Bulnes**, that is otherwise known as the _Picu Urriellu_ in **Asturian**, and you know you’re in for a climbing treat. It stands tall in the gorgeous **Picos de Europa** in the **Cantabrian mountains**. Dating back millions of years, this limestone tower, while not the highest mountain in **Spain**, is definitely one of the most known.

When it comes to which route we will take on this climb of the **Naranjo de Bulnes** on this **2 day trip** the decision will be made based on your **skill level and experience**. So if you are a climber with plenty of experience, then you will get to pick any one of the great routes. However, even if you’re not that experienced, there will still be thrilling options for you as well.

The peak has **four faces** that you can climb. And each one of the faces is unique. As a result, each face presents its own set of challenges, and rewards.

The **easiest of the four faces** is the **South face** where you can take the _La Directa de Martinez_ route. The **North face** has the oldest route, the _Pidal-Cainejo_, which has been in use since **1904**. The **East face** has 2 ways to the top, _Via Cepeda_ and the _Amistad con el Diablo_. And finally, the **West face** offers the _Murciana 78_, and the famous _Rabada-Navarro_ route.

**Catalonia** is one of the best places in Europe for **rock climbing**. This is the area where I come from. I’d like to show and share its secret places with you.

We will go to the main climbing massifs in the region: **Montserrat, Montsec** and **Pedraforca.** There we will discover amazing landscapes, with different terrains and interesting spots from a historical point of view.

**Montserrat** is a unique massif, a labyrinth of impressive needles with more than 4000 climbing routes of varied difficulties. **Montsec** is a mountain range of 40 km with limestone cliffs that go from 100 to 500 meters in height. **Pedraforca** is quite similar but it looks like an alpine area, with fir woods and snowy peaks in winter.

The program I am proposing is **of at least 3 days**. We will climb in the morning and use the afternoon to go from one place to another. For longer and more technical itineraries **we may need 5 days**. In any case, the program **can be adapted according to your timing** and fitness possibilities.

This 4 days program in the Pyrenees takes you to ‘Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes’, to climb **Els Encantats and Amitges peaks.**

The National Park is an area of granitic rock, lakes and forrests, and is one of the nicest and best preseved of the Pyrenees mountain range.

The two peaks are among the typical of the region, but are very different from each other. Els Encantats is a big mountain with an armonic figure, while Amitges is an impressive and solid narrow peak (Aguja). Its summit was longly desired by mountaineers at the beggining of 20th Century.

We will stay in two mountain shelters: Mallafré, owned by the “Federació d’Entitas Excursionistes de Catalunya”, and Amitges from the “Centre Excursionista de Catalunya”.

**Join me for an unforgettable 3-day ski touring trip. We will be among the 2000 meters mountains of the Aragon in the Spanish Pyrenees.** 

Aragon is a region in northwestern Spain. It concentrates glaciers, varied vegetation and green valleys. There are several ski resorts in Aragon, but in this occasion I propose to go ski touring and plan our own adventures.

If the weather is with us, we will have the chance to ascend to the top of:  
– the Bisaurin (2670m),  
– the Aspe (2636m),  
– the Collarada (2888m).

You must have some ski touring experience and be a good skier since we will go through some steep slopes, up to 30°.

While not a massive mountain, the **Puig Campana (1,406m)** is nonetheless a fantastic peak to climb. Located in the **Spanish** province of **Alicante**, the mountain is part of the **Prebaetic system** that includes many peaks, including **Aitana (1,558m)** the **Montgo Massif (753m)** and many more.

And when you reach the summit of the **Puig Campana**, you will get to experience some incredible views. You will even be able to see the gorgeous crystal blue water of the **Spanish** coast!

Filled with a legendary past that invokes several famous names, including _Roland_ and _Charlemagne_, the **Puig Campana** is a very unique peak. And the subsequent climb will show that uniqueness every metre up.

The climb itself is not very difficult. Hence why it can be done in a single day. However, any **previous climbing experience** would be advantageous. You should also be in **good enough shape** to make the climb as well.

When it comes to amazing mountains in **Spain**, the **Puig Campana** is definitely near the top of the list. And while it may not be as high as other famous European mountains, that doesn’t diminish it one bit. Instead, the mountain remains a stunning, beautiful rock formation that is well worth a visit.

**Torre Cerredo (2650 m)** is the highest peak in **Asturias** and also in the **Cantabrian Mountains.** 

There are two different but awesome mountain trails to ascent this peak:

**The normal route**

During the last meters of climbing in this route, we will need to use ropes.

**The crenelations by Pico de Cabrones**

We will join two famous peaks, the **Peak of Cabrones (2553 m)** with **Torre Cerredo Peak (2650 m)**, climbing a ridge of 800 meters between them.

The viewpoints we can admire while climbing up to the western massif are really breathtaking.

##### The beautiful El Yelmo (1,717m), also known as _Pena del Diezmo_ is a magnificent mountain. And for a full day, I would like to guide you to its equally amazing summit!

Located in the gorgeous **La Pedriza** rock formation in the **Guadarrama mountain range** of **Spain**, **El Yelmo** is one of the most popular and most beautiful highlights in the area. Anybody who has ever been lucky enough to visit the incredible **La Pedriza** has undoubtedly seen **El Yelmo**. It is wonderfully unique because it looks like a massive dome of pure granite.

Climbing to the top of **El Yelmo** can be tricky because scaling it requires the usage of the special **adherence technique**. This technique focuses less on strength and more on the technique itself, which revolves around precise foot positioning. It also utilises special footwear with a smooth rubber sole. Climbing **El Yelmo** is definitely more of a fine climb than an athletic one. Hence making this ascent one you will never forget!

There are several different climbing routes to choose from on this trip. There is **Ignatius, Valkyrie, Hermosilla, Caballo Blanco, Guirles-Campos** and the **El Nombre del Hombre** on the **south face**. And there is **North Diedro** and **Keka** on the **north face**.
