There are few places in the world with the mystique of the Chugach range. Also, few places with the terrain we can find in Alaska. Picture huge amounts of snow piling up all winter long on endless mountain faces, rolling glaciers, flowing spines and immaculate couloirs. It’s something you won’t see anywhere else. This is your chance!

Get ready to enjoy runs of up to 1500 metres on **endless alpine terrain, through glaciers, couloirs and alpine peaks.** And let me tell you an interesting fact about the Chugach mountains: more snow falls here than anywhere else in the world!

The difficulty level of this trip is **from intermediate to expert**. We have more options for advanced skiers. I will guide you on a ski tour through the Thompson pass. Then, we will have the option of getting further into the Chugach mountains via snowmobile bump or heli drop.

Getting to the small city of Valdez is possible with a direct flight, but flying to Anchorage is much cheaper. If you chose the last option, we will have a vehicle to transport you from Anchorage to Valdez. It’s a 5 hour drive through a picturesque road.

I guarantee we will have an amazing time in Alaska. I have the experience and certification needed to ensure you will enjoy a safe and great ski tour. Besides, I love big mountain skiing!

**Program**  
Day 1 Gear check on the 21st at 10am. – The Mountain Shop Portland  
– Drive to a camping location.  
– Car camping option or stay at the Timberline Lodge.  
– Day 2 ( July 22nd) Hike from Clear lake to Timothy lake. 5 miles 500ft. of elevation gain.  
– Day 3 (July 24th) Hike back to the vehicles. Drive to Mt. Hood and do a day hike. Sleep at Hood River.  
– Day 4 – they are on their own.

Situated in the northwest corner of Montana, Stillwater Canyon is the perfect spot for rock climbers of every level!

**Alyeska, Alaska** should be on your skiing bucket list- that is, if it’s not already! **Surrounded by glaciers and located right by the sea**, Alyeska is one of the world’s most scenic ski resorts. During this **8-day trip**, I will take you to the best off-piste areas in Alyeska. Plus, we can enjoy **ski touring** and even **heliskiing** in the Chugach Mountains. This trip is great for ski enthusiasts who want to **practice a variety of different types of skiing, all in one convenient area**. Depending on weather conditions and your desires, we can ski in Alyeska or ski tour the nearby area. We can even use a helicopter, plane, or snowcat to reach **virgin slopes and incredible views**. The program will include amazing runs with **descents of 500 to 1700 m**. You’ll arrive early in the evening in Anchorage, where I will greet you and take you to our hotel in Aleyska.

Join me for a **2-day off-piste skiing clinic** in the amazing **Grand Teton National Park** in **Wyoming, U.S.A.**

Located only **16 kilometres away** from the famous **Yellowstone national park**, the **Grand Teton park** is definitely a worthy companion. The park itself is absolutely enormous. And when seen up close, or from afar, it looks like a beautiful painting of nature at its finest. Hence making it the perfect place for an **off-piste skiing clinic**.

Because the park is so huge, there is an assortment of ways to explore it. You can **hike** through it, you can **mountaineer**, or you can **ski tour** on **preset routes**. However, for the sake of this excursion, the focus will be on **off-piste skiing**. Otherwise known as **back country skiing**. In the **Grand Teton park**, the powder is renowned, and whether it is deep or light snow, it makes for amazing skiing. So for anybody looking for peace and solitude, while enjoying great exercise and views that will leave you mesmerised, **off-piste skiing** in the **Grant Teton park** is for you.

However, aside from enjoying the **skiing** itself, the purpose of this clinic is to teach and develop the skills needed to enjoy it safely and correctly. We will cover **gear**, **skinning**, and **uphill turning techniques**. We will focus on **avalanche terrain recognition**. And depending on group size and time, we will cover **route planning** and **time calculations**. As well as other important topics. In order to participate in this clinic, you do need to have **advanced skiing skills and physical fitness**. And a completion of at least a **level-1 avalanche course.**

It is important to note that besides the **2-day clinic**, I also offer the chance to lead you on a **Grand Teton Ski Tour**, where you can ski on **Wimpy’s knob** and **Shadow peak**. As well as an **advanced ski tour**, where you can ski on **Disappointment peak** and the **West Hourglass couloir**. Among several others. Finally, if you are interested in **ski** **mountaineering**, I can also take you to such places as **Buck mountain**, **Apocalypse couloir**, and many more.
