More Info

Zermatt has long been a haven for winter sports enthusiasts and this is no exception in the case of splitboarders.

The town is perfectly situated for any number of adventures that involve skinning up mountain peaks before combining the board and careening back down on a snowboard.

Away from the aforementioned spots, another popular option is to head on a two-day tour of the Breithorn and Pora Nera. The trip involves only minor mountaineering know-how, a lot of great views and some incredible descents along the way.

Though it may be a bit farther afield, the Monte Rosa massif is another popular destination for splitboarders based in Zermatt. Some opt to head up to the top of the peak and enjoy the thrilling ride back down. Others circumnavigate the peak, enjoying exciting runs at various parts and taking in the massif from all angles.

My fiancé and I were new to ski touring and requested our guide to assist us in completing the historical haute route. 5 nights and 6 days. Renato became not just our guide but our friend during the trip. We faced unexpected challenges from Mother Nature and Renato protected us. He patiently taught me how to ski tour and maneuver the mountain even though I should have known already. His stories and charming personality made the trip so much more enjoyable. His knowledge of the terrain and our skill limitations allowed him to guide us safely to our destination. We hope to hire him in the future for more fun adventures. We highly recommend him for your guiding needs.

2 jours fantastiques, avec un guide qui ressent bien jusqu\'ou il peut pousser ses clients, qui explique beaucoup sur les techniques et la lecture du terrain (un grand plus!), et qui de plus est très sympa. A refaire chaque année! Bruno, Renaud et Mathieu
