Description

The Dead River is a 42.6-mile-long (68.6 km) river located in the state of Maine, U.S. and a scenic area for outdoor enthusiasts. In this 1-day tour we will take you there for an unforgettable rafting experience under expert guidance.

With only eight days available each season, rafting in the Dead River is probably one of the best wild whitewater adventures in New England. So, during the spring run-off and also in fall, when the lakes are drawn down, you should don’t miss the chance to raft this river.

We will enjoy from class III to V rapids such as “Humpty Dumpty”, “Elephant Rock” and “Spruce Ledges”.  And if you are prepared for something extreme you will love “Poplar Hill Falls”, the longest rapid in the Northeast, with huge waves and turbulent holes.

We will start with a short practice and safety instruction session. First-timers, beginners and kids are welcome. You just need to be in a good health!

Furthermore, this trip will allow you to enjoy a fabulous landscape from the sport boat, especially when the leaves turn into vivid colors.

So, if you are up for this rafting exciting adventure, please contact us! We’ll be happy to guide you through the heavy rapids of the Dead River!

We also offer rafting outings in another wild places of Maine. You should check out our 1-day Kennebec River rafting and our 1-day Penobscot River rafting.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
