Join one of our experienced guides and hike through the Maroon Bells on to Crested Butte in the astoundingly beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains.

You will arrange of meet one of our certified guides at 8 am on the morning of your adventure and together you will begin the day-long hike by meandering through the Maroon Bells Wilderness, which is some of the most photographed scenery in the United States.

You will travel up the West Maroon Valley, past both Maroon and Crate Lakes before wandering through Aspen and pine forests. Along the way you will enjoy stunning views of both of the Bells as well as Pyramid Peak.

After about four to five hours into the hike, you will make a fairly strenuous ascent along an exposed part of the trail and cross over West Maroon Pass (12,490 feet above sea level) and into the Schofield basin. You will then pass through this wildflower-filled basin to the trailhead where a shuttle bus will take you to Crested Butte.

After exploring this beautiful Butte, a shuttle will take you back to Aspen over Kleber pass (the fair for the shuttle is not included in the price). The whole day will take about eight to 10 hours depending on the speed at which you hike.

If you are too enchanted by the sublime nature of Crested Butte to leave right away, we have an option to spend the night before returning.
