  • Without much difficultly, this walking tour is widely available to most people.

Experience the striking alpine beauty of Montreux on an action-packed walking tour past iconic mountain views, around beautiful lakes, and along gorgeous gorges.

Montreux lies in the canton of Vaud in the south west of Switzerland, hugging Lake Geneva, one of the largest in western Europe, and is shared between Switzerland and France.

Resting at the foot of the Alps, Montreux offers dramatic mountain views that guard the town around the glistening lake.

Deeply rich in culture, the town is included in Switzerland’s list of heritage sites of national significance. It was a favourite of British and Russian nobility, who sought refuge here during winter retreats.

The region is also home to a vast network of winding pathways and vineyards that slope down the rolling hills.

The vivid green colours, tranquil emerald waters, and mountain peaks that punctuate the skyline offer incredible alpine views.

Sitting close to the old town of Montreux is the wild and wonderful landscape of the gorge. The trail twists and turns, carving through the strikingly diverse shades of green, similar to landscape scenes in the film Avatar.

Reserve your place now in the deeply rich Swiss region of Montreux on a half-day walking tour, and discover stunning mountain peaks guarding the gorgeous Lake Geneva.

About the Guide

I have hiked throughout the Alps and most of Europe for the last thirty years. This has been such a pleasure for me that I want to share this with you. Today, owing to a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Sports and Nutrition, I organise and lead hikes, specifically aimed at enhancing your well-being through the natural movement of walking.

The peace and quiet available when hiking outdoors adds to the physical benefits of walking at your own rythm, while learning about the environment is an added joy and motivation.

To be able to get the most from hiking in nature, one must know: flora, fauna, geology, nutrition and by sharing this knowledge, you will be able to "read" your environment and to better know your own capacity in order to take full advantage of our hikes.
