Mount Alam-Kouh (4,850m) offers breathtaking views of everything around it. And it has an ideal location, as it is only a 3 or 4 hour drive from Tehran, located in between this stunning city and the Caspian sea. What’s more, a short flight from Europe, 5-6 hours, will take you to this wonderful place.
You can conquer the summit of Mount Alam-Kouh hiking. Hence, you don’t need any special preparation, or previous climbing experience. Moreover, our team of expert guides will follow you every step, making sure you are safe, while enjoying the whole experience. Also, they’ll make sure you get plenty of rest and time for acclimatization, every stage of the way until you reach the top of this colossal peak.
Then, the week is full of surprises, as you’ll visit many other beautiful spots. To begin with, you’ll get the chance to explore the hypnotizing city of Tehran. This city with great historical, and cultural significance, is an adventure on its own. But for you, it will only be one stop in this amazing journey.
You’ll also visit some small towns on the way to Alam-Kouh, such as Roudbaraki. So you’ll get to learn about the local culture and even shop at a lovely bazaar. And, as for accommodation, you’ll be staying in echanthing mountain lodges, and camping under a mesmerizing bed of stars.

Mountain huts and tents.
First, we’ll drive to Roudbaraki, a small town on the base of Alam-Kouh. Then, we’ll explore around. And, we’ll spend the night in a mountain lodge.
We’ll begin our day with a short trek in Roudbaraki, where we’ll enjoy some sightseeing and shopping in a local bazaar. Finally, we’ll stay at a mountain lodge that night.
A short drive of about 1 hour will take us up to 3,200 meters. Then, we’ll hike for 2 hours to the advanced camp (3,700 meters). And we will camp that night there.
We’ll trek up to the Lashgarak peak (4200m). Then we’ll share some time in a camp where we’ll spend the night.
Finally on this day we’ll reach the summit of Alam-Kouh. So after a 6-8 hours trek we’ll reach the top. And, we’ll also spend the night in a tent.
On this day we’ll get to see the caspian sea up close. After descending from the basecamp, we’ll drive towards the ocean. Then we’ll spend the night in a local house.
We’ll drive back to Tehran. And we’ll spend the day sightseeing.
