This 10-day Huayhuash classic trek might be one of the most beautiful hikes in the world!
This dramatic high altitude hike has some of the most magnificent views in the Peruvian Andes. It goes by the amazing Cordillera Huayhuash that includes peaks like the Yerupaja (6634 m), which is the second highest in Peru.
All along the hike you’ll be surrounded by an incredible scenery that includes peaks like the Siula Grande, Sarapo, Rondoy, Ninashanca, Jirishanca, Rasac, Carnicero, Trapecio. And all these mountains will contrast with the blue glacial lakes that makes this trek a paradise for outdoors lovers.
So through 10 days we’ll be walking at an average altitude of 4200 meters, with a maximum height of 5000 meters. This means you’ll need to be well acclimatized and walk at your own pace. That’s why I always pay attention to how you’re feeling along the way, to make sure you have a good time all along the way.
Finally, one of the most amazing features of this program is the memorable campsite where we’ll spend our nights. The wide valleys with glacial lakes make the perfect landscape to rest while fishing for some trouts while the Andean condors fly over our heads!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
