Join Ivan on an epic 10-day ski touring trip around Cevedale near the Dolomites of northern Italy, where you'll explore new slopes every day and sleep in mountain huts in the night.
Ten days of mountain culture and north-eastern Italian charm
Enjoy full days of ski touring and epic downhill runs
Take in the beauty of the Cevedale region
Come with me on an unforgettable 10-day ski touring trip in the Alps. We’ll head to the Cevedale area, which is located in the Eastern Alps. This gem is situated in north-eastern Italy, between the Bernina Mountains in St. Moritz, Switzerland, and the Dolomites in Italy.
We’re going to journey to high altitudes on this trip – think alpine peaks of up to 3769 metres in elevation. As you can imagine, the views from up above will be truly epic.
We’ll tour to and from different peaks across the ten days. So, there will be something different to see and somewhere new to ski every day.
The terrain that we’ll cover is largely glaciated and we’ll get wonderful snow, too. Another highlight of this ski tour is the opportunity to experience the mountain culture and the charm of north-eastern Italy at the same time. This combination makes for a unique tour here in Cevedale.
This is one trip you do not want to miss. Request to book now, and we’ll be seeing you soon!
If you’re interested in checking out some of my other ski tours, you should definitely check out this ski and sailing tour of the Lyngen Alps in Norway.
I work together with a group of guides, so if I’m not available, one of my colleagues will guide you.
We'll stay in 3-star hotels while we're in Milan and mountain huts for the rest of the trip.
- Ski tour equipment (skies, self-adhesive skins, avalanche beacon, double plastic boots, ski poles, shovel, probe, ski-crampons) - Headlamp - Warm clothing - Climbing ice crampons - Ice ax - Harness - Helmet
Milan, Malpensa Airport
You’ll arrive in Milan, and we’ll all meet at the airport before transferring to a nearby hotel.
We’ll start early and make our way to Bolzano. It’ll take 4 hours to reach Bolzano, then we’ll continue on to Merano before arriving at Martell Valley. We’ll hike from there to Zufall Hut, which sits at 2265m. This will be our home for two nights.
We’ll spend our third day ski touring the beautiful Mt.Pederspitze (3309m), or Mt.Madritschspitz (3265m). We’ll head downhill at the end of the day to Zufall Hut.
On the fourth day, we’ll ski to the next hut, the Marteller Hut (2610m). From there, we’ll do a ski ascent to Mt. Kollkuppe Marmota (3330m) before a downhill return to the Marteller Hut.
Marteller Hut will be our start point and end point on our fifth day together. In the middle, we’ll ski tour on Mt.Venezia (3386m).
Day six will be the longest and most difficult day. We’ll tour to two peaks, Mt. Zufallspitzenat at 3757m, and then Mt.Cevadale (3769m). We’ll finish with a downhill run to the Casati Hut (3254m). If conditions are not good, we’ll ski directly to the Casati Hut.
On day seven, we’ll tour to the Branca Hut (2487m) via Mt.Pasquale at 3553m, or along the Cedec Valley. We’ll spend two nights in the Branca Hut.
On this day, we’ll visit Mt.Palon de la Mare at 3685m, Mt.Vioz at 3645m, or Mt.Tresero at 3594m. We’ll finish up at Branca Hut.
We’ll enjoy a morning ski to the Forni parking area. From there, we’ll transfer back to Milan and check in to our accommodation near the airport. You’ll have a couple of hours of sightseeing that evening.
In the morning, we’ll take you back to the airport for your return flight.

This was my second trip together with Ivan Moshnikov. It\'s safe to say that everbody in our group absolutely loved it. We had a great time in Russia and it was an absolut blast. Even though we were not able to experience \"true Mamay snorking powder\" we still skied perfect snow for 7 days in a row. I threw my mobile in a corner in the first day and did not pick it up until 8 wonderfull days filled with skiing, amazing food, going to sauna and enyoing wonderfull company. However, if you a looking for a super lonely place, Mamay is probably not the right choice. The valley gets visited frequently by locals and other tourists. Still, there is enough place for everybody I think. 10/10 I will definitly come again. Many thanks to Yulia, Roma and Stepan!
It was a great adventure! I got answer to the few questions I have prior my departure and the support to get the required document. Once in Irkutsk we met with Ivan and depart to Mamay Valley where we had unbelievable snow. Days with snow where enjoyed in the forest with unbelievable amount of powder and days with sun were enjoyed higher up on the ridges where we could enjoy nice views, untouched snow and 5***** powder! I would repeat over and over again. The hut is really cosy and we have all what we need for a week of adventures. The sauna is a good think to do in the evenings before great dinners.
The skitouring in Mamay as coordinated by Ivan was absolutely fantastic! Our guide Roman Romanov did a brilliant job in finding the best snow and runs, taking all of our needs into account and was very professional. The hut was really cozy, the food delicious and the sauna after skiing were the ideal finish to the perfect ski day!
It was great to be with Ivan. Above all, I came through him in an area that I otherwise would not have been able to travel. He really took good care of everything and I learned a lot. DychTau is a mountain that demands a lot from the beginning to the end!
Vladimir was our guide for summiting of Mount Kazbegi in July, 2019. He was a brilliant guide, as well as champion snow boarder, and I would highly recommend him for anyone planning climbing Kazbegi or Elbrus.
The guide was actually not Ivan Mishnikov but Denis who was a Junior guide with CetNeva. Overall the guide company is really good. Cook and the barrels where I stayed were excellent. Lisa, manager of CetNeva, were attentive and always present to help out. Guide was excellent in skills, just a little shy. Would recommend 100%. Thanks!

Ivan is a master of his craft. His knowledge, instincts and skills are of the highest quality. He is the best guide I\'ve ever climbed with and when I return to Russia, I\'ll be climbing with him again. Also, his character is also of the highest quality, he is responsible, smart, and incredibly professional in every aspect. When you\'re doing something risky (like climbing a mountain), he\'s the exact person you need with you. I\'d climb with him anywhere, any weather any time of year.
We went to Mt Elbrus ski touring in May and did not summit due to bad weather. If you want to be sure to summit I would suggest you book about 8 days as it takes at least 4 days to get altitude acclimatised to the point you can make an attempt ) and it seems the bad weather systems last about 3 days.... groups submitted the two days prior to us but no one summited for the next three due to 80 kmh winds. In regard to CetNeva, I had some trouble with communications and replies (partly caused at my end) but once that was sorted things went well. Lisa runs the admin side and is good. We did not have Ivan as a guide we had Roman - but Roman was over qualified for us but patient and pleasant despite our lack of skills and never being ready on time.
No info from travel agent essential information about imigration cards, That mens no info that taht cards important ( No Info dont loose them). About transfer from airport was very good. Food excelent. No additional guide for ascenting Elbruss. I had different habit for ascenting. The Guide doesnt like. TIn the Summit ascenting he said that i should keep same style climbing as them. And put all responsibility on me if i wpould refuse contnues ascent to summit. So i this result bad sleep. And did not feel well to make summit ascent. I refuses to go. So that day i am ski touring myself due to arriving Caucasus. Rest was ok. Please return 250 euros . So incomplete mission
Everything was just perfect. Our local Guide Sergey showed us the best spots with really nice descends in amazing powder. His hut was very cute and our cook Tonja did a great job. Everything was just perfect. A dream came true. Thanks Sergey for the perfect guiding.
I had a great time with Ivan at Dychtau! I can definitely recommend this to every climber who wants to experience something different to the alps. You can find yourself in a wonderful place with barely any western tourist and enjoy the astonishing nature and the welcoming local culture. It somehow felt like I was climbing my first REAL mountain... and I loved it! 10/10 would carry 20kg backpacks, play cards with Russian soldiers and go to sauna again :) thanks,
Petur og Inga
Thank you for a great tour and a big adventure to reach Elbrus! You did a great job, leading us all the days!
Hi Ivan, Thank you so much for this expedition! Everyone went home safely. We succeeded with your help. Next time, please come and go to Hokkaido powder!!!!! I am looking forward to seeing you again. Best regards, Aki
It was a once in a lifetime experience! The organisation of the trip was very good and the team excellent - funny, smiling, very welcoming and as well we enjoyed good Russian traditional food. The snow was outstanding – every line, every day - crazy powder snow! The guiding was totally competent, experienced - knowing the area like their own pocket, we felt their passion. I hope the lonely lovely Mamay valley, where you can admire thousands of stars at night (while going to the toilet or cooling off from the sauna :-), will keep its charm and gentle tourism for a long time. The trip was an amazing unforgettable experience.
Our guide was Nikolay (a colleague of Ivan\'s), a wonderful gentle soul whose exploits include Everest and K2...without oxygen! I cannot recommend this trip enough. We went late season and although at times a tad frosty, the mountains made for a spectacular backdrop to all those golden autumnal colours. Massive thumbs up :)
My trip to Mountain Elbrus took place ending October 2016 so the mountain season was ended and the probability of Bad and cold weather was high, anyway I took the risk considering the experience of my guide Nikolay (from Ivan\'s team). The first 2 days on the mountain the weather was sunny and great so we did a great acclimatization, but on the 3rd day the weather change, starting to be very windy and cold and on the following days got worst, specially due to the strong wind it was impossible to try to reach the summit, finally the days were ended and we had to return home leaving Elbrus Summit for another time, you know the mountain phrase: “The mountain always will be waiting there for you as an impassive colossus\". Nikolay logistics was great, all the mountain food was very good, he share with me a lot of his great mountain experience so I learn a lot of very valuable things, and even Nikolay help me on the airport on my trip back to home because on the Mineralnye vody airport nothing is in english. Also the hotel in Terskol was very simple but very nice and the woman owner of the hotel was very gently and nice.
I had the pleasure of having Ivan as a guide on Elbrus this year and he is first class. I would highly recommend using him on any mountain
Ivan simply... \"GUIDED\" us. A beautiful word full of hidden meanings that are discovered while the mountain is revealing its splendor and strength. \"Guiding\" means knowing when to talk and be quiet. When to encourage and warn, when to look into the eyes and convey confidence. In conclusion, \"guiding\" is accompanying with an almost undetectable softness, with an invisible and effective confidence that made us feel safe all the time.
I spent an outstanding week in the region of Elbrus with Ivan. I am ski instructor and came with a mountain guide friend, we enjoyed so much the professionalism, attention, good humor, enthusiasm of Ivan. From the first email exchanges, Ivan was very responsive and answered all my questions. The very good choice of ski touring itineraries for the preparation and acclimatization before the successfully climb of the Elbruz made this trip even more memorable. I will keep this week with Ivan a memory of the first order and eternal. Thank you so much Ivan.

I really enjoyed yacht-staying & sky-touring in Norway-Tromso where\'s a fjord-bay in the Arctic Circle. IVAN(my guide) helped me a lot to have a wonderful holiday.
