Description

Come with me on an unforgettable 10-day ski touring trip in the Alps. We’ll head to the Cevedale area, which is located in the Eastern Alps. This gem is situated in north-eastern Italy, between the Bernina Mountains in St. Moritz, Switzerland, and the Dolomites in Italy.

We’re going to journey to high altitudes on this trip – think alpine peaks of up to 3769 metres in elevation. As you can imagine, the views from up above will be truly epic.

We’ll tour to and from different peaks across the ten days. So, there will be something different to see and somewhere new to ski every day.

The terrain that we’ll cover is largely glaciated and we’ll get wonderful snow, too. Another highlight of this ski tour is the opportunity to experience the mountain culture and the charm of north-eastern Italy at the same time. This combination makes for a unique tour here in Cevedale.

Itinerary

Day 1: Day one

You’ll arrive in Milan, and we’ll all meet at the airport before transferring to a nearby hotel.

Day 2: Day two

We’ll start early and make our way to Bolzano. It’ll take 4 hours to reach Bolzano, then we’ll continue on to Merano before arriving at Martell Valley. We’ll hike from there to Zufall Hut, which sits at 2265m. This will be our home for two nights.

Day 3: Day 3

We’ll spend our third day ski touring the beautiful Mt.Pederspitze (3309m), or Mt.Madritschspitz (3265m). We’ll head downhill at the end of the day to Zufall Hut.

Day 4: Day four

On the fourth day, we’ll ski to the next hut, the Marteller Hut (2610m). From there, we’ll do a ski ascent to Mt. Kollkuppe Marmota (3330m) before a downhill return to the Marteller Hut.

Day 5: Day five

Marteller Hut will be our start point and end point on our fifth day together. In the middle, we’ll ski tour on Mt.Venezia (3386m).

Day 6: Day six

Day six will be the longest and most difficult day. We’ll tour to two peaks, Mt. Zufallspitzenat at 3757m, and then Mt.Cevadale (3769m). We’ll finish with a downhill run to the Casati Hut (3254m). If conditions are not good, we’ll ski directly to the Casati Hut.

Day 7: Day seven

On day seven, we’ll tour to the Branca Hut (2487m) via Mt.Pasquale at 3553m, or along the Cedec Valley. We’ll spend two nights in the Branca Hut.

Day 8: Day eight

On this day, we’ll visit Mt.Palon de la Mare at 3685m, Mt.Vioz at 3645m, or Mt.Tresero at 3594m. We’ll finish up at Branca Hut.

Day 9: Day nine

We’ll enjoy a morning ski to the Forni parking area. From there, we’ll transfer back to Milan and check in to our accommodation near the airport. You’ll have a couple of hours of sightseeing that evening.

Day 10: Day ten

In the morning, we’ll take you back to the airport for your return flight.
