Cordillera Raura and Cordillera Huayhuash are two powerful mountain ranges of the Central Peruvian Andes. In this opportunity what I am offering you is a challenging and unforgettable trek expedition that combines hike activities across amazing landscapes, ice surfaces, lakes and natural termo-medicinal sources with cultural exchanges with local people. I can assure you it will be an enriching experience.
Once we will be transferred to Churin Town at 2.080 meters, we can share a great moment with its people and enjoy its magnificent hot springs to get relaxed before starting our hike.
Then, during the walking expedition we will visit breathtaking places such as Torre de Cristal, Santa Rosa and Cullcuhsjanca Mountains and beautiful turquoise lakes like Tinquicocha, Patarcocha, Gaico and Huascacocha.

Keep reading the following program so that you have complete details of each day of this great adventure in the Peruvian Ranges of Raura and Huayhuash:

DAY 1: LIMA-CHURIN 
We will be taken from Lima, capital of Peru, to Churin, a picturesque interandean town of the Oyon Region.

DAY 2: ACCLIMATIZATION DAY 
During our second day, we will enjoy the hot springs of Churin and then, we will hike up to 3.800 meters in order to get our bodies acclimatized thinking of our following trekking days.

DAY 3: FIRST DAY OF HIKE
We leave Churin towards the Raura Mine, one of the features of the area which is located at over 4.600 metres in the central section of the range. Then, we will hike down to Patarcocha Lake where we set up our camp.

DAY 4: GAICO AND HUASCACOCHA LAKE 
We continue hiking through the region of Gocapampa until we get to Gaico Lake, one of the amazing waters of The Raura Range. By the end of the day we will arrive to Huascacocha Lake, another Andean lagoon located at 4.200 meters of height.

DAY 6: LUYCHOS AT 4.150M 
We leave Huascacocha behind to cross a pass at 4.650 meters heading to Luychos. It is a small town located in Huanuco region at a height of 4.150m. We will spend the night there.

DAY 7: NEXT GOAL, HUAYHUASH
We start to hike up to our next objective of the trip: The Huayhuash Range at 4.200 meters.

DAY 8: HOT SPRINGS IN VICONGA
Early in the morning we leave Huayhuash among a pass at 4.650m called Portachuelo. By the afternoon we will get to our base camp in Laguna Viconga, where we can take a bath in its relaxing hot springs.

DAY 9: PUMAPAMPA SUMMIT 
In our ninth day of trek, we will cross the Cuyoc Pass at 5.000m and then, we reach to Pumapampa, a 5.300-meter mountain peak.

DAY 10: CAJATAMBO
After breakfast we will start the descent across the Cajatambo Pass until we get to Cajatambo village, a touristic place characterized by the famous Nevado of Huayhuash. We will sleep there and rest for the last two day of adventure.

DAY 11: LAST HIKE
During this day we continue hiking down to the village of Pativilca where a transfer will be waiting to take us to the Hotel in Lima.

DAY 12: ENDING POINT
Once in Lima, our service is finished and you can continue visiting this amazing city or go back home.
