Description

I invite you to join me on a fascinating journey to Mount Belukha (4,506m), the highest peak of the Altai range in Russia, part of the Golden Mountains of Altai. This unique 15-day trek takes you to the heart of the Altai Mountains, in southern Siberia, a place famous for its wild nature.

Mount Belukha rises along the border between Russia and Kazakhstan, close to the border with China. The region boasts a rich ethnic and religious diversity, with millenary stories based on this sacred mountain.

We wil trek up to Mount Belukha’s glacier on horseback, winding through wild places among larch and cedar woods. We will climb up to 3000 meters on bare ridges, enjoying views as far as the eye can see, admiring the mountains and places we will discover along these days, like the Akkem Lake, Mount Belukha and different valleys.

This is a very special journey for me, as it is is my personal sharing of experience and life in these remote places, in the mysterious Siberia. It is a special experience of research, of co-guiding a group in these lands and, all thanks to Liudmila, a native Russian speaker doctor, who spent several years in these region as a researcher and who shared it with me. Now we want to share this unique journey with you!

Want to join us on this amazing trek in Siberia? Just check the date below and book your place! Come discover this very special place in the Altai Mountains.

We also guide a mountaineering expedition to Mount Belukha. Check it out!

About the guide

Mauro Rossi Alpine Guide and Mountaineering Instructor since 1980, has active expeditions in the Himalayas as the north wall of Everest, where at 8650 m. decides to go down, renouncing the summit, for the safety of other mountaineers; Manaslu 8163 m for Messner route, Cho Oyu 8201 and Shisha Pagma 8013 chained in ten days by opening a new road over a thousand meters on Shisha Pagma. All these experiences took place without the help of oxygen and the "Esprit d'Equipe" group, whose challenge was to reach the Himalayan peaks but all together and at the same time.

Even in Patagonia, four new ways was realized in a month, but it also captures the essence of the land of fire.

It opens countless ice and rock climbs in Valais, Gondo Gorges and Mont Blanc Massif.

MAURO ROSSI AS A ALPINE GUIDE AND MOUNTAINEERING INSTRUCTOR PERFORMES HIS MOUNTAINEERING SKILLS NOT ONLY BY ACCOMPANYING PEOPLE AND TEACHING CLIMBING AND ALPINE TECHNIQUES BUT SHARES THE ESSENCE OF THE WONDERFUL PLACES VISITED.
