World renowned as Nepal’s most famous hiking route, thousands embark upon the Everest Base Camp Trek every year.
The route involves only about 4 hours of trekking each day, but takes place at high altitude, which is the most challenging part.
Along the way, you will experience some of the local Sherpa culture while staying in local tea houses. We will also visit various cultural and spiritual sites, all en route to the famed Everest Base Camp.
The adventure begins after you fly into Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and transfer to the hotel. The following morning, we head right back to the airport and fly to Lukla. This is where the fun really begins.
The next week and several days will be spent on the approach to the hallowed Everest Base Camp. Along the way, we will pass through valleys, forests and villages, enjoying phenomenal views of Mount Everest as well as various other iconic Himalayan peaks along the way.
After reaching the camp, we will begin the journey back. Early on in that journey, we climb to the summit of Kala Patthar (5,545 m), where we will see the sunrise and get the last best views of Everest.
As we return, we’ll take time to enjoy the culture, meeting local Sherpa people and visiting cultural sites en route back to Lukla.
Upon returning to Kathmandu, we will have one last chance to explore this historic city, visiting three UNESCO World Heritage sites, before taking you back to the airport and saying our goodbyes.
