Highlights

The Monch (4,107 m) is a famous peak of the Switzerland’s Bernese Alps, and also the most climbed. In this amazing 2-day trip you will have the chance to reach to its summit under expert guidance.

Together with Jungfrau (4,158 m) and Eiger (3,970 m), Monch forms one of the most popular groups of mountains of Switzerland. Located on the border of the Cantons of Bern and Valais, it is the easiest of the three big mountains to climb, so it is perfect for an introduction to mountaineering in the area.

Climbing Monch, first summited in 1967, is a special and unforgettable 5-hour mountaineering experience. We will hike and climb on exposed and snowy ridges with wonderful views of Eiger and Jungfrau.

The starting point for this climbing tour is Grindelwald (1,034 m.), a small and charming village with incredible views, situated at the foot of the Eiger Mountain

So, if you are up for a unique ascent to the top of the three peaks of the Berner Trilogy, please contact me! I am sure that this mountaineering tour will be a once in a lifetime experience for you!

And I also offer a mountaineering outing to the top of the highest peak of Slovenia. Check out my 2-day climbing trip to Mt Triglav from Krma Valley.

    About the Guide

I was born in Kranj, Slovenia. I am a biology teacher and I also have been a professional alpinist for more than 30 years. Until now, I’ve reached 4 eight-thousanders around the world: Broad Peak, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri and Mount Everest.

In fact, I am the first (and still only) Slovenian female reaching ‘the roof of the world’. Together with my husband Andrej, we entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the first married couple to stand on Mt Everest.

Beyond the Himalayas, I climbed in Alaska, South America and Japan, among other places.

Sport climbing as well as competition and rock climbing have a very important place in my life and have taken me to many incredible and challenging places around the world.
