Description

At 3,375 meters above sea level, Posets Peak is the second highest mountain in the Pyrenees. It is situated in the Huesca province of Aragon and it is a wonderful area to explore and enjoy skiing.

This traverse offers us the chance to visit this stunning peak as we pass by  different refuges in the area and contemplate the beautiful winter landscapes of the Pyrenees. Additionally, apart from the Posets Peak, on this 3-day program, we’ll also have the opportunity to explore the Chistau Peak (2,794 meters) and the Eriste Peak (3,060 meters).

On day 1, we’ll go from the Biadós refuge (1,745 meters) to the Chistau Peak and then descend to the Estós refuge (1,890 meters). On day 2, we’ll enjoy skiing in the second highest point in the Pyrenees and end up in the Angel Orús refuge (2,100 meters). Finally, on day 3, we’ll reach Eriste Peak and return to Biadós.

Keep in mind that it is very important to have background experience in ski touring as well as a good physical shape to join this trip. Each day we’ll face an elevation gain from 1,000 to 1,800 meters and spend 6-8 hours hiking and skiing. As for the accommodation, we’ll enjoy our nights in the huts.

Do you find this ski touring traverse interesting? Then do not hesitate to send the request and book your place. I’ll be glad to guide you on this adventure in the Pyrenees!

Another option could be this ski touring program that I lead in the classic Carros de Foc route. Check it out!

IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide from Spain

Since a young age I lived surrounded by mountains and walls, out in nature. Mountaineering is part of my life from an early stage.

The search for new horizons and mountains made me discover many exotic destinations. I’ve done climbing and skiing expeditions to the Alps, Turkey, Jordania, Patagonia, Peruvian Andes, the Himalayas (India and Nepal). I’ve also opened new routes, both for rock climbing and for winter alpinism.

I’ve done high performance alpinism awarded by the FEEC (Federació d’Entitats Excursionistes de Catalunya). I was member of the Spanish Alpinism Team, the FEDME, from 2006 to 2008.

I became UIAGM mountain guide and canyoning guide to share my passion with all those who love doing activities in the mountains, either a fun canyon, challenging climbs, or white and lonely ski runs in remote mountains.
