There are few places in the Alps with such vast and varied terrain as the Arlberg region of Lech. This exclusive ski resort in the state of Vorarlberg has an amazing lift infrastructure and, most important, you can find here amazing powder snow.

Join me on this 6-day custom freeride skiing tour in Lech, Zurs and St Anton and discover it by yourself. We will spend an amazing time exploring the vast terrain of the Arlberg area around Lech. The lift infrastructure here it is just outstanding and it gets better every year. The addition of the Flexenbahn last year has also reduced the need for buses.

During these days, I will take you to enjoy the amazing off-piste possibilities of Zürs, the famous White Ring, Stuben, Stuben, St Christophe and St Anton. Every evening, we will have a briefing at dinner to discuss the plan and venue of the following day. We will also spend one evening analysing videos, to help each participant to improve their skiing technique.

We will also enjoy an off-piste ski safari day to Rendl and back again, and we will ski off the back of the infamous Valunga tram above St Anton.

If you want to join me, you need an excellent fitness base and solid off-piste skiing level. The tour is suitable for upper-intermediate skiers, able to link paralell turns. The skiing may include sustained 35 degree slopes.

During this tour, you must be prepared to handle changing snow conditions and physically demanding long ski days, that will include various amounts of hiking to access terrain. Most of the tours will also offer the possibility of a day of touring to reach more remote terrain, so if you have a touring gear set up, please bring it along.

The exact spots we will ski will depend entirely on the level of the group and the snow and weather conditions, always priorising your safety first. In order to maximise the time spent on the mountains, we usually decide on the skiing venue the morning of departure, when we have the latest conditions information.

Want to join me on this great skiing programme in Lech? Send me a request and we will start planning this freeride skiing trip together. I also offer a 6-day freeride skiing programme in Chamonix-Mont Blanc and in Zinal. Check them out!

    About the Guide

    IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide

I am a professional mountain & ski guide. I have been guiding now since 1994. I have always been into the mountains – skiing at age 4 and secretly sneaking away for overnight bivouacs in the mountains behind my parents house. At age 13, I decided to pursue my airy scrambles for something that looked a bit more fun. I went to work as an assistant bringing out other young teenagers on exciting hiking and more importantly to me, climbing outings. One thing led to another and before I knew it my world revolved around the mountains.

At the age of 18 I moved to France to pursue my passions, later becoming actively involved with the French Alpine Club in Dijon and organizing outings and putting up climbing routes here and there in Burgundy.

In 1992, I entered the infamous ENSA or French guides school in Chamonix and became the first American to receive international certification (UIAGM/IFMGA) through this prestigious school.

Since then I have been making my living as a full time professional guide, climbing and skiing in many of the worlds great mountain ranges. I speak fluent French, some Italian and I am now learning German.

Previously I have worked as a technical consultant for Petzl, and Grivel.

If you are looking for a great adventure, skiing or climbing, please get in touch with and let's discuss about it.
