Join us as we take you to the only place in the European Alps where it is possible to visit a UNESCO natural heritage on crampons – the Berner Oberland in Switzerland! Explore vast expanses of glaciers, trekking at the base of several soaring peaks above 4,000 m on this 6-day trek!

The trip takes you through the protected area of Jungfrau-Aletsch located in the Swiss Alps between the Berner Oberland and Valais. You are in for a special treat as you traverse snow-covered mountain ranges, scenic valleys and the largest glacier system in the Alps!

We’ll begin in the picture-perfect village of Fafleralp (1,790m) in the lush Lötchental valley. Ascending the Lang Glacier, we’ll cross the high Lötchenlücke pass to enter the magnificent Berner Oberland glacier system. You’ll be stunned to see the sheer magnitude of this area!

The trail leads to the top of Ebenefluh mountain where you’ll see spectacular vistas of the famous Jungfrau (4,158m), Mônch (4,099m), Eiger (3,970m) and Finsteraarhorn (4,274m) peaks!

We will spend the first two days at the cozy Hollandia Hut.

From the hut, we’ll head towards the large, flat ice mass of Konkordiaplatz and brave a strenuous hike to reach the Konkordia Hut. The next two days involve a loop through the core of the Berner Oberland. We’ll ascend the mighty Aletsch Glacier and climb to the summit of the Walcherhorn. The top offers jaw-dropping vistas of the iconic Mittellegi ridge.

Finally, navigating our way through the Jungfraufirn, we’ll descend to Fafleralp, marking an end to this incredible trek!

Even if you have never used crampons before, you are more than welcome to join us! You’ll be just fine so long as you are in good physical shape.

So, we don’t see any reason not to go! Send us a message now to venture  out on this incredible 6-day glacier trek in the Berner Oberland in Switzerland!
