The in Great Basin National Park the United States is a true paradise for adventurers. Join me on this 7-day mountaineering course, and explore this wonderful place.
Mountaineering is a very unique activity that combines the best of many sports. However, there are not many places where one can practice or improve on their techniques. And the Great Basin National Park is one of the best places where you can do so! This magnificent place offers everything, from high ridgelines to jagged peaks.
If you want to learn all the standard mountaineering skills, this course is for you! We will go over all the basics. For instance we’ll cover the use of ice axes and crampons. Also, we’ll practice with anchors, belays and ropes. But more importantly we’ll go over navigation techniques, hazard and risk assessment.
Additionally you will learn about rope team travel and avalanche awareness. And we will add extra experiential training with select targets. So you’ll be able to practice all the acquired skills.
There is no previous experience necessary. The objective of this course is that you learn all the basics in mountaineering. But also that you start applying everything you learnt right away. Thus, we will practice constantly to make sure you feel safe and confident.
Moreover, the groups will be small. Hence you will have a more intimate experience. And you’ll receive all the attention necessary to accomplish your goals.
Finally, to get to the perfect spots for our lessons, we will do some hiking. Thus, giving you the chance to explore around this wonderful place.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide.
