Join me for a perfect splitboarding week in the Julian Alps this winter! This 8-day tour to the best spots, ascents and sites on the Southern Limestone Alps might just be exactly what you need!

Part of the Slovenian Alps, the Julian Alps offer amazing winter sports possibilities and great itineraries. I will take you to some of its very best attractions. And note that skiers are also welcome.

I will meet you at the Ljubljana airport to transfer to the beautiful Kranjska Gora village. We will stay at the Pri Martinu Inn. Each day we will depart from the hotel to the different points in our itinerary (see day-by-day details below).

The main attractions and challenges in this program include:

  • An ascent to Monte Lussari and the Cima del Cacciatore
  • Climbing Slemenova Spica from the Vrsic pass
  • A 1000 meter descent to Planica
  • A descent from the biggest ski resort in the Julian Alps, Sella Nevea – Kanin
  • A short skin/climb to the “Window” in Mont Prestreljenik
  • Climbing Mt. Sija
  • An off-piste snowboarding morning at Vogel
  • A full day splitboarding to the Fussine Lakes and the Mangart saddle
  • A full day splitboarding in the majestic Mt. Mala Mojstrokva, a classic and beautiful mountain.

Please keep in mind that this itinerary is subject to changes depending on snow, weather conditions and further recommendations.

We will also have time to taste the traditional Jota, a typical Slovenian cabbage dish, and an amazing apple strudel at the wonderful Tamar hut.

(Private group tours for 4 to 6 guests are available on request from mid-January until April).

IFMGA Mountain Guide
I was born in Jesenice on 25.03.1967. I’m based in Gozd Martuljek in the Julian Alps, Slovenia. I qualified as an IFMGA Mountain Guide in 2003 and I was President of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association from 2009-2013. I’ve loved the mountains for as long as I can remember. It started in primary school when I was in the local mountaineering club. In high school I started climbing. Later I joined the mountain rescue team in Kranjska Gora and I have been a member of the rescue team since 1994. I’ve been guiding for the past 11 years in the Alps and all around the world. Each year I usually guide for about 150 days.
Alongside my work, my family (wife, 2 children), travel and mountain photography are my passions.
- Guiding skills: rock climbing, climbing routes, touring ski, ice climbing, winter climbing.
Since 2005 I’m sponsored by Montura and last 6 years I’m skiing on Elan skies.
