Off-piste and touring off the beaten track, in the bright sunshine of the south of France
The Queyras natural park is between Briançon and Gap in the Hautes Alpes, right at the italian border. This enclave at the heart of the Alps has managed to preserve its pastoral and craft traditions, and the development of small ski resorts in several valleys have left its traditional architecture and untamed nature quite unaffected.
The region benefits from exceptional sunshine, as well as from abundant snowfall which assures a very good snow cover. In spite of all these assets, Queyras remains off the beaten track, which makes it an ideal destination for exceptional ski touring.
With just a couple of hours climbing from the top of the ski lifts, we can get to summits and passes offering vast beautiful panoramas.
The subsequent runs to the very bottom of the unspoilt valleys are comparable in gradient and length to those in the Northern Alps.
From a small charming hotel in a converted traditional house of Molines-en-Queyras, we will radiate to a different valley each day : Molines, Saint Véran, Abriès, Ceillac, and Arvieux.
