- Complete an iconic seven summit as you stand on the highest point in Africa
- Avoid the crowds and follow a less travelled route
- Follow the climb with optional extensions: African safari or Zanzibar island
Discover the exotic landscapes of Africa during this 9 day expedition to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro! Enjoy an incredible climb as we avoid the crowds and enjoy the magical landscapes of the tallest peak in Africa.
For many, Mt. Kilimanjaro (5,895 m/19,340 ft) is the ultimate dream. It is a tough, yet rewarding, ascent through gorgeous scenery. In order to reach the summit, climbers must pass through several distinct ecosystems, making the climb a unique experience. To maximize your time in Tanzania, we recommend that you combine the 9 day climbing trip with our optional extensions – an exciting safari and a relaxing trip to the beaches of Zanzibar.
During our 6 day summit push, we will use a route removed from some of the more popular areas. This will give you a chance to fully appreciate the stunning environment that surrounds you, as we pass from lush jungle scenery into sparse high altitude landscapes. After the climb, we will celebrate our summit with a BBQ at the house of one of your local guides – always a special experience.
The ascent of Mt. Kilimanjaro is not technical and can be undertaken by those with no previous mountaineering experience. However, it is a physically demanding expedition at incredibly high altitudes. Participants should train for the climb and have great physical fitness.
After the climb, we are pleased to offer two fantastic extensions so that you can discover Africa. The first is an African Safari adventure at an additional cost of $1,999 per person. After recovering from the climb for 2 days in Arusha, you will spend 4 days on a safari where you will discover the wonders of Africa’s famous wildlife – elephants, zebras, bird species.
Then, finish the adventure relaxing on the white sand beaches of Zanzibar. For an additional $1,999 per person, you will visit this lush island in the Indian Ocean. You will stay at the Ocean Paradise Resort, which offers comfortable accommodations with an incredible view of the ocean from the balcony. Plus, the resort is conveniently located near Stone Town, the old center of Zanzibar that has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
