The Hautes Routes or Alta Via are the most traveled routes in the Dolomites and the reasons are endless!

The exceptional scenic views along the hiking path and in the mountain atmosphere are extremely varied every day.

Two key points in this itinerary are:
– We don’t have to descend in altitude
– We save the altitude changes for pleasant breaks

This magnificent hike starts at Predazzo, at the intersection of Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa, over Bolzano-Ora. Following our departure in cablecar we will not descend hiking below 1900 m. We will always hike above the forest limit, between 1900 m and 2600 m. Besides, we never ascend more than 1100 m per day (averaging 800 m).

The goal is to enjoy the pleasure of these calm routes!

We will take both organic and rocky field hiking paths.

At 3 times during the week, passages have a reassuring “handrail”. But they do not require the use of harness or special techniques.

We will cross the largest massif in the Dolomites, the group of the Pala with its famous mineral desert plateau. We may see some summits over Venice. In fact, we approach it by the great war front chain. First on the Austro-Hungarian site (the Trentin being part of it), and then on the Italian (border with Veneto and Belluno).

After the first night, all our accommodations are over 2000 m. This allows us to stay in altitude, taking advantage of this period when the alpine flora is an explosion of color. Our locations in refuges are in small dormitories, in some of them double rooms are available: please contact me about this.

Most of the refuges are accessible by a private vehicle track or a cable car, which will allow us to have our luggage with us, except for the penultimate night.

Do you find this beautiful trip in the Dolomites interesting? Then please get in touch with me! I would be thrilled to guide you and make you discover this fantastic region which I know so well.
