Ampersand Mountain (3352 ft) is located in Franklin County in the northeastern Adirondacks, upstate New York. The trail to its summit begins close in the lovely village of Saranac Lake.

This is an extremely popular tours in the area due to the astonishing 360-degree scenery that you enjoy from its bare rock summit. The 3 Saranac Lakes, the distant High Peaks and the Seward Range are all in sight from the top of the trail.

This 5.4 miles round trip goes through an easy path, with a few steep parts and some areas where you’ll have to walk on rocks and practice some bouldering. But the effort is totally worth it!

Plus in the way down we can stop in a crescent-shaped beach and jump into the water for a relaxing post-climb swim!

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
