  • Enjoy the stunning scenery around Saint Anton am Arlberg.

  • Learn necessary avalanche safety precautions and rescue techniques.

  • Apply what you learn right on the slopes in Saint Anton.

Nestled high up in the Tyrolean Alps, Saint Anton am Arlberg is the perfect place for an avalanche safety seminar.

Boasting numerous high peaks and steep slopes throughout its backcountry, there are few places in Austria that are better suited for learning about avoiding avalanche prone areas as well as rescue training.

After meeting up and getting acquainted, we’ll head up onto the mountain and start from the beginning. We’ll go over snow packs and go over skiing in mountain weather (i.e. which kinds of off-piste runs are possible with certain levels of visibility).

We will also learn how to judge the terrain on which you are skiing and go over route selection best practices. This will help you see and understand certain snow characteristics, for example identifying and avoiding slab snow, which is just one type of avalanche hazard to avoid.

As the day goes on, we will also go over how to use the transceiver and go over some basic rescue training. By the end of the day, you will be thoroughly introduced to avalanche safety theory and techniques.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this important and informative 1-day avalanche safety seminar in Saint Anton am Arlberg, Austria.
