The Haute-Gaspésie, in Quebec, is a great destination for backcountry and ski touring. We organize a one day to some of the best areas of the region for freeride: Mt Lyall, Hog’s back, Champs de Mars, Vallières de St Real, Blanche La Montagne.
With over 25 summits above 1000 m, the Chic-Chocs have the terrain including couloirs and glades that you have been dreaming about. You are sure to find what you need to fulfill your powder fantasies.
Our Alpine Touring activities offer a complete day of backcountry touring. We will meet at the discovery and services centre of the National Park on the 299 road, 40 km south of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts at 8:30am.
There, you will receive the instructions for the day as well as your avalanche safety gear.
We will use climbing skins to reach the top of the hills and ski down some of the nicest backcountry spots only known to the locals. You must be ready for a complete day of skiing or snowboarding outdoors. Typical runs average 300 to 500 metres in a complete wild backcountry setting.
Discover the most popular and enjoyable sectors of the Chic-Chocs with one of our qualified ski/snowboard guide. We will share our favorite spots and review the use of avalanche safety gear and best practices.

I am based at the foot of the Chic-Chocs range, in Haute-Gaspésie, Quebec province. I work in the fabulous area of the Madeleine Mines.
Since 2006, I am specialized in adventure tourism in the winter. I offer outdoor activities and training (wilderness first-aid training, Avalanche Safety Training AST-1 and AST-2) in the field. Thanks to my team and equipment, I help people to practice winter sports in a professional and safe way in the Chic-Chocs Wildlife Reserve and the Gaspésie National Park.
I offer with my team the only snowcat access to one of the best ski spot in the Northeast. It permits to transport people from Mount Albert Wilderness Lodge (Gîte du Mont-Albert) to excellent snow spots for snowshoeing trips.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
