Would you like to enjoy an exciting winter adventure in the Central Andes? Then come to Santiago and join me for a backcountry skiing outing in Cajon del Maipo!
Santiago, the capital of Chile, is one of the biggest cities in the Americas. It is located in a large valley surrounded by huge mountains. Due to its easy access to several ski resorts and impressive powder areas, this destination is perfect for backcountry experiences.
On this day outing, we will ski on Cajón del Maipo, a beautiful gorge located an hour and a half southeast of Santiago. This scenic area, home to El Morado Natural Monument, offers awesome untracked terrain that you will explore under expert guidance.
After meeting in Santiago we will drive to our starting point, which is next to the base of Cerro Arenas (4,450m). From there, we can choose among several routes according to your wishes and the snow and weather conditions.
Please note that this day trip is for good skiers: you don’t need to be an expert in backcountry, but you should be able to face any kind of ski resort piste. In addition, a good fitness level is necessary to join this activity.
So, if you want to live an amazing alpine experience in the heart of the Central Andes, please contact me. Let’s go to Cajon del Maipo, near Santiago, for a backcountry skiing adventure!
