Join Brent, an IFMGA-certified mountain guide, for this unforgettable 4-day backcountry skiing adventure in the heart of British Columbia's Coast Mountains. Enjoy superb mid-season powder and take in panoramic views of the surrounding immaculate scenery.
Enjoy the stunning scenery of British Columbia's Coast Range.
Get off the beaten path and ski in some of Canada's most the remote backcountry.
Enjoy high-quality mid-season skiing on excellent powder.
Running along Canada’s western shoreline, the Coast Range is the perfect place to head for a mid-winter backcountry skiing adventure!
Boasting incredible alpine scenery and (usually) pretty high-quality skiing conditions, there are plenty of excellent spots to explore.
Depending on the weather, we will either fly deep into the Tantalus Mountains for an immersive backcountry experience, or explore the exemplary slopes around Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton.
Either way, you will be privy to some of Canada’s most spectacular mountain scenery as well as incredible powder skiing conditions.
Plan A is to fly into the mountains for the immersive experience (of course). Based out of the Jim Haberl Hut, we will explore the North face of Serratus, a couloir on Alpha and ski the various glaciers right around the hut.
If the weather does not cooperate and we cannot safely fly, then we will simply explore the stunning slopes around Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton.
From each of these three idyllic towns, there is plenty to do. Among the most popular options would be to skin to Keiths hut and ascend either Mount Joffree or Matier.
We would also have the option to check out the Musical Bumps, near Whistler, as well as Sky Pilot and Habrich, from Squamish.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this incredible fun and diverse backcountry skiing experience in the stunning Coast Range of western British Columbia!
If you like the look of this trip then I think you may also enjoy my ski mountaineering week on Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa over in the Alps!

Vancouver International Airport
We will meet at Vancouver International Airport and transfer to Squamish.
Whether we head into the Tantalus Range or stick around near Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton, we will ski all day on both of these days.
We will spend the morning skiing before transferring back to Vancouver International Airport in the evening.
Ski equipment (skis, boots, poles)
I grew up in Colorado with skis on my feet and a rope in my hands. I began skiing at the age of three and rock climbing at the age of five. Sometime in between, I climbed my first mountain.
When I'm not climbing or guiding, I am typically sharing food and drinks with friends and family, training at the gym, or dancing to the "umps umps umps" of house music around a campfire.
When I began my professional guiding career in 2010, I realized my lifetime hobbies of skiing and rock climbing have real value in this world. Over the last several years, I have helped thousands of clients reach their alpine goals, and more importantly, enjoy their experiences on the mountain.
I have skied, rock climbed and guided throughout the western US and Canada, the Alps, the Norwegian fjords, the Southern Alps in New Zealand, the Brazilian granite domes and on limestone in Thailand. I have skied steep descents such as Grand Teton, climbed 5.13 on bolts and gear and played around on snow-covered rock and ice.
When you book one of my trips, you'll be working directly with me. I will work with you from your initial inquiry and throughout your trip. I will personally be your guide and instructor, making sure you receive the highest quality instruction and have a great time too.
