Do you want to learn the secrets of big wall climbing? Then join me in this intense 2-day seminar in the surrealistic environment of Joshua Tree National Park!
In the state of California, just where the Mojave Desert and the Colorado Desert meet, lies one of the most popular spots for climbers in USA: Joshua Tree National Park.
This is an ideal environment for improving your climbing skills, because of its rock walls formed millions of years ago and the wide range of climbing routes existing in the park.
During this 2-day course, you’ll acquire valuable knowledge on the famous Yosemite Method of direct aid climbing.
As for myself, I am AMGA Certified Rock Instructor as well as a veteran Yosemite Big Wall climber. My job is to help you to deal with technical equipment in a simple and safe way, as well as teaching you the principals of this climbing technique.
Here are some of the topics you will learn during the seminar:
- Different types of direct aid placements
- Jumarring techniques
- How to lead and clean aid pitches
- Setting hanging belays
- Carrying heavy loads, pendulums and tension-traverses.
