Join AEGM mountain guide Carlos on this unique bouldering experience in the stunning Albarracín region in the Teruel Mountains in Spain!
Albarracín is a stunning town in the Teruel province of the Autonomous region of Aragon in Spain. In fact, in 1961 it was declared a national monument. Located amidst rocky boulders and hills, it is also a great spot for rock climbing. On this bouldering week in Albarracín, I will show you the ropes of this rock climbing technique as you enjoy the wonders that the region has to offer!
One of the great things about Albarracín is its weather. Because it is at a high altitude, it is pretty cool year round. Consequently, save for the summer, it is ideal to visit from September to May. The landscape is beautiful and the huge red sandstone blocks contrast nicely with the deep green of the forest. Additionally, there are a variety of challenges to practice different techniques. Also, there is a big range of grades that span from Fontainebleau 3 to 8b+. This means that no matter your level, we can find something to suit your needs.
Getting to Albarracín is quite simple. From either Barcelona, Valencia or Zaragosa you can rent a car and drive between 2-5 hours to the town. Keep in mind that we do not include accommodation on this tour. However, I will be more than happy to help you find a suitable option in this beautiful location.
Are you ready to tackle some of Spain’s most stunning boulders? Would you like to spend a week in a dream town amidst rocky hills? Then book your place on this bouldering week in Albarracín and join me to the top of some great rocks! I will be happy to show you the way!
Looking for something in the now popular bouldering region of Alcañiz? We also have a fun five day Bouldering excursion there! You can find out more about it here.
Not included. I can help you find a good option in Albarracín.
I've been having a strong passion for outdoor sports for over 15 years. In the last 5 years, I've been working as a professional guide specialized in climbing and canyoning. My favourite is rock climbing, it doesn't matter the style (sport, trad, dws, bouldes, single or multipitch routes) the importat thing is climb high. As a native Mallorcan, Psicobloc or Deep Water Soloing, is in his genes. While he has a deep appreciation for the crags of Mallorca, Catalonia and Aragon, he has also climbed in Morocco, Turkey, Italy, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Tajikistan and China.

Absolutely fantastic trip with Carlos. He took time and patience with our two boys (aged 8&7) and made an exciting and challenging trip for all Of us. We’ll be back next year. Thanks Carlos!
Carlos is an excellent guide. He carefully structured the trip and was also flexible enough to adapt over the 3 days we spent together. He worked effectively with me to achieve my goals. Highly recommended.
Thank you all for making our trip safe.
I really enjoyed my day of multi-pitch climbing with Carlos. He is extremely knowledgeable about climbs in the area, climbing technique, and about its history and culture as well. He tailored the session to meet all the goals I wanted to reach, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout. I highly recommend him as a guide!
Carlos is an excellent guide. He taught and helped us move up in skill. Carlos suggested multiple crags and what he thought would be appropriate and fun for us. Explore share was an easy company schedule our adventure. The website itself was a bit difficult to manage at the final point of booking . Otherwise I would given 5s all around. Thanks for a great event.
Explore-share service was just what we needed. Hooking us up with a qualified guide that knows the area is invaluable when you are traveling out of country. I will use your service again!
Spending the day with Carlos was great! he\'s a great climbing coach and a super nice guy. He taught us a ton of tricks and we reviewed all the safety infos, but little by little he gave us more and more freedom, which also gave us the confidence we needed. All in all it was a great experince.
I went climbing with Carlos for 2 days in Montserrat and Pared de les Baggases. Carlos was not only a very skilled rock climbing guide (route finding, safety, etc) but as also very pleasant and social to be with (he speaks very good English). He took his time to also talk about the surroundings and history of the climbs we made. I highly recommend to go climbing with Carlos!

Had a great day climbing with Carlos. He\'s knowledgeable about, and devoted to, the sport. I only had a single day during my trip to Spain to climb and was looking to get on some of the best sport routes in the area - and Carlos did not disappoint. As a guide he was skilled and safe, ensuring that we had a shared understanding of the safety systems. As a climbing partner he was insightful in recommending routes, providing beta, and the softest of catches. We chatted the whole time about the sport and the industry and the various features of routes. Highly recommend Carlos as a climbing guide if you\'re in the Barcelona area and I will definitely look him up again next time I\'m in Spain without a belay.
Carlos was great!!!. Highly professional with great attitude. Connected very well with our kid. and it is very clear that he made any effort to make sure we will enjoy our time together. highly recommend!!!
Great guide! Excellent knowledge and preparation, easily adapted to our schedule, but also challenged us. I learned a lot from Carlos :) thanks again!
A great morning out with Carlos at Cala Moli! Beautiful setting. Carlos was very patient and conscious of everyone\'s safety. He was clear on his instructions and made it a great experience for us!

Trip was awesome. Met up on time, did lots of pitches, Carlos was very knowledgeable, safe, and we had a lot of fun. I would highly recommend him. -Rob A.
Carlos was an excellent guide. He communicated well and we learned a lot about Spanish history and culture from him. He took us to an awesome location so that I could propose to my partner!
Carlos is awesome! He was extremely responsive after booking and tailored a trip to fit our level and interests. He helped us manage logistics (places to stay, where to meet), and was prompt each day picking us up. Carlos knows the area and guided us to gorgeous routes at our level. This area has legendary sport climbing, which we only had limited gym experience with. Carlos led at first, but taught us to lead by the end! He also took & shared great photos of the trip! Highly recommended!
Great day, Mark is a fantastic guide.

It was an awesome trip and a good first exposure to climbing in Spain! For some in our group, it was their first time to climb outdoors and Carlos provided great advice for transitioning from indoor to outdoor climbing. For me, I got a lot of useful tips on how to be more effective and to improve my technique outdoors. I would recommend Carlos to anyone looking for a great guide and a fun time out on the rocks!

It was excellent, Carlos is very knowledgable, we felt secure at all times and very fun, climbing Sol-Solet Montserrat was an excellent experience that I hope to do again. Communication prior to the trip was great with Carlos every time, he gave us good options from the start and gave us the tranportation info. Everything was excellent, fun, great and adventurous just like me and my wife hoped for, thank you for everything. We hope to do it again soon. Saludos.
Carlos is an excellent climbing instructor. Not only he has amazing climbing skills but he may be the best belayer in the world;)). He is also a great teacher, very knowledgeable, adapts to different skill levels, puts extra homework into finding routes and activities that are challenging yet enjoyable. There were two of us, with different skill levels and he managed to set up activities in a way that we have got the most of every minute. regarding the commucation: he was very quick to respond, was inquiring about what we want to get out of the trip and based.on this recommended the agenda. A very lovely guy overall. After a bit of quizzing I\'ve learned that he climbed with some big names from Spain and UK. Oh, and he has a great crag dog - as him to bring her along:)
Carlos is the best mountain guide around. He was obviously very experienced and has been climbing for many years. I like how we were constantly learning under his supervision. He was also flexible in every way. I, as a pretty beginner climber, was able to enjoy the routes he took us on just as much as my friend, an intermediate climber. He was knowledgeable of the area and knew all the best climbing spots. 11/10 would recommend!

The three days that Carlos and I spent together have been a very constructive experience. He is a easy going person who has a good skill for sharing his knowledge. In this way you believe his assumptions and you practice his exercises because you understand the reason behind them. On the top of this he knows very well all the spots and routes in every sector. Highly recommended.
