Description

One of the great things about the Formiga Canyon in Sierra de Guara is that it is ideal for all levels of canyoning. Children, adults, beginners and those with more experience too, can all enjoy abseiling, jumping and sliding at the stunning Formiga Canyon. Additionally, it is also a great spot to visit year round, and beautiful landscapes of course are a given. Plus, the lovely Panzano village is just around the corner.

Although the excursion is short, it is intense. Our first steps are already full of adventure as we walk through a narrow ledge past the Polvorosas cave. But worry not, throughout the ledge there is a railing to hold on to. Then, once we reach the opening of the canyon, we suddenly have to make an 18 meter dry abseil drop! Fortunately, those afraid of heights also have the possibility to descend by making a more moderate 7 meter drop. As we mentioned before, one the the great things about the Formiga Canyon in Sierra de Guara is that everyone can enjoy it. Once inside the canyon we continue the jumping and gliding adventure .  You can also take pleasure in the small cascades and pools of crystal clear water amongst the sunny rock formations.

The Formiga in Sierra de Guara is definitely a must for any and all travellers in the area. Make sure to book your place with us and we will show you just how much fun canyoning in the Pyrenees can be.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
