  • Scale the heights of the picturesque pointed peak of the Dom mountain.

  • Observe outstanding natural scenery among world-class mountains.

  • Benefit from having a fully-qualified guide with you in the Swiss Alps.

Standing in the Pennine Alps in the canton of Valais is the striking Dom mountain, which rises to 4,545 meters above sea level.

The majestic pointed peak is picture perfect, offering incredible views and challenging terrain.

With all of the mountain contained within Switzerland, it is the highest mountain located entirely in Switzerland. On a wider scale, Dom is the third-highest summit in the entire Alps, after Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa.

It’s an incredible experience to conquer the Dom, which is part of the Mischabel group of neighbouring mountains.

Climbing the Dom has a long history, having first been summited all the way back in 1858 via the northwest ridge.

Climbing Dom doesn’t present any major technical difficulties. However, the trip is very demanding and requires high levels of fitness.

Beginning in a flat and wooded area, we’ll zigzag until we reach rockier terrain. Following this route, we’ll finally reach accommodation at Domhütte, which rests at 2,940 meters.

After an early morning breakfast, we’ll set off over glaciers and climb the Festijoch before following an arc as we avoid the steeper and unstable terrain over glaciers.

As the air begins to thin the summit is in sight, and we’ll soon conquer the Dom at 4,545 meters above sea level.
