  • Go up the striking North East face of Singu Chuli to reach the summit.

  • Witness exceptional views of the Annapurna Range.

  • Explore the biodiversity of the Annapurna sanctuary on the way.

In the heart of the Annapurna range, lies the imposing peak of Singu Chuli(6,501m). Also known as the Fluted peak, it is a popular climbing destination as it offers a challenging climb and stunning views at the same time. Join us as we take you on a 17-day expedition to this giant mountain in Nepal.

Located in the Annapurna Sanctuary next to Tharpu Chuli or Tent Peak, Singu Chuli lies on the long ridge originating from Tarke Kang, which separates the south and the west Annapurna glaciers. This trek takes us on the western part of the glacier, around the base of the mountain towards the eastern ridge. Then, we’ll mount the northeast face to reach the summit.

The journey begins at Birethanti and will take us through the Annapurna sanctuary to the Macchapuchhare base camp. From there, we’ll trek to the Annapurna base camp. This campsite offers striking views of the Fluted peak. As you stand on the moraines above the mountain lodges, you’ll see the impressive south face showing its sharp pencil ridges covered with ice and snow.

We’ll set our base camp at an altitude of 4350m and further establish two high camps. You’ll have to go up a challenging vertical wall before making it to the summit. Get ready for a sense of exhilaration and jaw-dropping views from the top!

Regarding difficulty, keep in mind that it is a strenuous climb and prior climbing experience is necessary. Additionally, don’t worry about acclimatization as we have reserved a full day for it at the Annapurna base camp.

About the Guide

My name is Rinzin Bhote. I am 45 years old. I live in Chepuwa village, in far Eastern Sankhuwasabha District, Nepal, a very lush and green place. I am married and have 2 children. I have been involved with the trekking world from early on in my life. I have worked through my way first as helper and as Sherpa assistance, until I reached a climbing guide position. In total I have 18 years of experience in climbing and for the last 18 years I have been leading treks and expeditions to several peaks in the Himalayas.

I have been almost everywhere in the Nepalese Himalayas and in some places of the Himalayan region of Tibet and India. I have been in Annapurna and in the Everest region many times. I have climbed Mount Everest two times. Other popular places I have been to are Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu. I have led many small and big groups and individual climbers to five of the 8-thousander peaks, like Everest (8848m) Makalu (8485m), ChoOyo , Shisapangma, and Lotshe.

I have spent many days in snow conditions at high altitude areas above 5000 meters, where some clients may experience sickness due to high altitude and I have always been able to handle such situations tactfully and in a safe way. Actually I am always prepared for any eventuality along the climbing.

My first ascents were Shisapanga (8013m) and, ChoOyo (8188m). I have also climbed almost all smaller trekking peaks and 6000m -7000m peaks like Gokyo Ri (5357 m), Yala Peak (5520m), Tharpu Chuli (5663m), Baruntse (7129m), Putha Hiunchuli (7246m), Saribung (6345m), Everest Thamserku (6623m), Mera Peak (6476m), Island Peak (6189m), Pisang Peak (6091), Lobuche (6145m), Kang Guru (6981m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Kanjiroba (6883m), Changla (6721m), Singu Chuli (6501m), among other mountains.

Just contact me and I will take you on a trek or on a great ascent expedition to some of the many Nepalese Himalayas amazing peaks.
