Description

Don't miss your chance to climb the Old Man of Stoer sea stack. It's must-do for any climbing enthusiast. Not only will you get the satisfaction of reaching the top, but you'll also get to take in the spectacular scenery and amazing wildlife of the region. Come with me on my trip along the original route.

Our setting for this trip is the stunning northwest coast of Scotland. We'll start out in Sutherland. To get across to the stack we'll need to cross the water using a Tyrolean rope traverse. This is great fun and all part of the experience. If the tide is low, it'll just be a boulder hop.

We'll tackle the stack in 4 pitches as our route weaves around the stack. If the weather or any other condition changes then we'll adapt our plan. This is a challenging climb so you'll need to have experience with very severe difficulty climbs and have lead climbed or seconded them. This is also an endurance test so you'll need a good level of fitness.

When we reach the top of the stack we'll take some time to enjoy the beautiful view before we abseil our way back down.

Besides the awesome scenery on this trip, there is also a good chance you'll see some awesome wildlife like Northern fulmar, Seals and even Whales.

So, sign up now to come along on an awesome Old Man of Stoer experience where we get to enjoy this spectacular Scottish scenery.

And, while you're in the area why not also tackle the Old Man of Hoy climb? I have a great trip for that!

Had a great day out with my instructor Paul who was very helpful in introducing me to trad climbing and getting me to be very comfortable on the rocks. We did six 1-pitch climbs and one multi-pitch climb while enjoying the phenomenal view of Langdale amongst many Herdwick sheeps. Would have extended the experience if I had more time and definitely would do it again.
