The Lyskamm is a stunning mountain, 4527 m high, located at the border of Italy and Switzerland. In fact, it consists of a 5 km long ridge with two distinct peaks, the eastern and western Lyskamm.
I particularly enjoy this ascent because…
– of its 1 km of exposed ridge;
– of the unique and excellent food we get in the Italian hut;
– we are almost all the time over 4000 m.
Depending on the route we take, your acclimatisation and your fitness level, we can do the ascent either in 2 or 3 days.
I will take one client with me on the rope. If you are more than that, I will ask a friend of mine, IFMGA certified mountain guide, to join us.
We will have several options for spending the night before the ascent:
– Monte Rosa Hutte (2795m), from where the view on the Lyskamm is the most beautiful
– Rifugio Gnifetti (3647 m)
– Rifugio Quintino Sella (3585m)
This will depend on the route we take, based on the weather conditions and your wishes.
Please contact me and let’s discuss about it if you are interested to climb this awesome peak. Of course it will be my pleasure to bring you up there and let you enjoy a breathtaking view from the top. Another mythical mountain in the Pennine Alps that we can climb together is the Dom, check it out!
