Description

Learn the basics of mountaineering and get the chance of climbing two of the most beautiful peaks in the Alps: Gran Paradiso (4061 m) in Italy and Mont Blanc (4810 m) located both in France and Italy.

This 7-day climbing program should provide you with a lot of joy, satisfaction and awesome sceneries!

The strengths of this program are the following:
– An intense and intimate program for 2 people
– The ascent of the 4061 m high Gran Paradiso as preparation
– The additional reserve (rest) day provides optimal chances of success
– Three sound opportunities to ascend Mont Blanc with possible adjustment through the other route

Before we start climbing Gran Paradiso, I teach you how to use the technical gear: crampon walking and advancing optimally on the rocks. This first ascent takes us to one of the most prestigious summits in Italy, providing great acclimatization. Besides, we are in the beautiful surroundings of Parco Nazionale del Gran Paradiso. The ibex almost come to eat out of your hand.

The planned rest day also acts as a reserve day in case of bad weather.

We climb to the top of Mont Blanc via the French Normal Route. This part of the trip takes 3 days. Therefore the chances of reaching the summit are optimal.

The program will not only depend on the weather, but also on the level of the two participants and the relationship of confidence that we build. Previous mountaineering experience, such as walking in crampons and using an ice axe and a good fitness level are a must.

If the conditions along the Royal Route are good, we can even ascend via this route.

During the last years, it was my “top” climbing program with a lot of summiteers.

Feel free to contact me if you want more details and plan the trip. Doing one of the 2 summits and planning a shorter climbing trip is also possible.

Accommodation

We will sleep in mountain huts and hotel. For the hotels in Chamonix, I suggest these 4: Helioptic **** Hotel de l'Arve *** Alpina *** Richemond ** For the mountain huts We will make the reservations for you.

Disclaimer

If necessary, we can still change the ascent at the last moment the conditions along the Royal Route. With only two participants we have almost the certainty to have space in the Cosmiques hut. You then have 3 very good opportunities to reach the top.
